Ed's bomb
I was warned beforehand
his hand had made something
with wires and batteries
it was on his table
could I go see
what I saw was a metaphor
with wires hanging out of it
though didn't want to doubt it
in front of him

Little does he know it's a time machine and tomorrow this time he's gonna be in the year 1424.

I could put that to him, he seems hell bent on the bomb thing though. harmless, but his journey is about to change I'd say. couldn't meet a nicer chap. put me up during the scamdemic.
I think he's off his meds. scary stuff now
thanks much, young lady I am honoured by your presence and words

A gripping and slightly unsettling narrative that presents a scene of intrigue and uncertainty as the protagonist encounters a mysterious contraption, described metaphorically as a bomb, evoking tension and caution in the presence of its creator, Ed.

I couldn’t help but be moved by this piece. The fact that you saw a metaphor for his illness from the microchips and wires - how they form intricately together. How they can come loose. How they can malfunction. There was something oddly tender in that. It speaks of concern, and care. It’s very human.

Life more often than we may want to admit brings us to events that find us dealing with sentiments that on the surface contradict each other. This reminds me of Seal's "Dreaming In Metaphors".

The metaphor of ticking time bomb is pretty evident now that you've mentioned it above. Some have a predilection for danger, but the bad kind that hurts others. I've often wondered if it's similar to cutters. People who cut to take away bad memories. Guess I'll never know.

Maybe there is something wrong with me or I just see that he was creating memories in the past. Items in the piece reminded me of the inner working of toys and small radio.

I look at it as a metaphor for the human condition.
We're all ticking time bombs in one way or another. Some are just more upfront about it.
