Could you imagine the energy, Josh?! When I was on Isla de Ometepe in Nicaragua, reclining halfway up the side of an active volcano, the energy was literally palpable. I have never felt so spiritual as I did in that place, and it led me to an understanding of why people would choose to live on an island with two active volcanos.

Regardless of what happens, they know everything will be alright. I tell ya, I never slept better either. The warmth of the land had nothing to do with heat or humidity.

There are hot springs 30 mins from here - what's great is you can lie in the hot water and it never cools down which gives a secure feeling of greater forces and true sustainability -- (unlike a quickly-cooling-down hot bath which required a lot of electricity to heat it up in the first place - though solar power heats the water otherwise when the sun shines).

Some of the pictures in this thread are stunning! Thanks for sharing.

Here's my contribution. Had tons of birds visit my garden in the snow back in Jan this year and got some beautiful photos

I LOVE hot springs! It's nature's sauna and aligns naturally with your body's needs.

That's cute. Did you use a zoom or actually get that close?

I zoomed in a little. That tree is right outside my window so I see the birds all the time

Wowzers. That makes Disneyland look like a refugee camp.

Continuing with my ice-themed fascination. Tony Wong is an amazing photographer of ice.

3" of snow, .05 inches of ice on the snow, and an almost full Wolf Moon in its home of Cancer.  You can't get a more beautiful evening.

Oh, nos! Hell's Kitchen is frozen over! I'll put my sunglasses on because I'm easily snowblinded.

The moon passed between Nasa's Deep Space Climate Observatory and the Earth, allowing the satellite to capture this rare image of the moon's far side in full sunlight. We normally don't see this side of the moon. As the moon is tidally locked to the earth and doesn't rotate, we only ever see the one face from the earth. Awesome shot!

They say more's on the way this weekend. But there's a saying down here in the south that if it lays three days more's on the way!
