I've lived to tell my tale
I've slept by the fire of broken hearts
I've heard the song of the wooden sparrow
Saw the puppet maker
His eyes gave me a new view
Step back into position
Ready
Aim
wait, I feel the sickness creeping in
I hope for life, a new beginning
Love for a moment
Let my plague sweep him of his feet
A nation 6 feet under
As the children sit a weep

[b]Congratulations Disillusion_Ment (waggy) for winning the competition.  Your poem adhered most to the competition according to the title “The Vigilante’s Prayer”. It was a rant, almost. Devilish as usual your gift is apparent in your words and Gypsy Red, I loved your poem, you have a gift of story-telling.  As it is, it was a story not a ‘prayer’ per se.  All have their own ways of expressions. I love all the poems and enjoyed them tremendously.Thank you very much for competing, Glynis, Jessica, Danii and Suphomeboi. Hope to see you all again in my next competition.[/b
