Impression

In dazzling light
and searing sun
his electric overdrive silenced
all joy.

In less than five minutes
my skin revolted,
my eyes burned,
and all goodness sheltered
behind my ribs.

Even the coffee
in my overpriced paper cup
absorbed black karmic tentacles.
I threw it away
instead of embracing second hand evil

kept looking over my shoulder
in the shower,
as I scrubbed myself holy again.
