Saddest tragedy

Dear Mom
       I have a few days left until I come home. I however will not be alone. I have such a friend that is like a brother to me. We have became so close you will see

      It is so great to hear from you. Is it an old friend, or someone new?
We have no problem if he comes with you; he can stay a day or two.

Dear Mom
        I must tell you that while in combat he has lost an arm. Their is plenty of room for both of us on the farm. Mom he is just like a brother to me. Give him a chance and you will see.

      It will be ok for him to stay.  For it seems in the military that was his price to pay. He can still help the best he can. Even though he has only has one hand.

         That is good news to hear for he will be full of cheer. I must tell you also in combat that he has lost a leg. Please welcome him as if your own I beg. He is such a friend to me. If it wasn't for him. I would no longer be.

       I'm sorry to inform you this way. For your father and I can't  let your friend stay. We have no place or time for a crippled man around this home. 
It would not be save for him to roam.

Two weeks latter their son arrives in a casket . It was not big enough for him to fit His cause of death was suicide. When they looked deep inside. That's when they were alarmed. Their son was missing a leg and a arm.

Goodbye he says
Kissing her cheeks
Look deep into her eyes
His hands around her waist
‘I love you my wife’
He says
‘See you tonight’

She looks out and watches
As he drives off her sight
She smiles and dances
Through the room
She does her chores
She makes dinner
For her 12th anniversary

She waits as night fall
For her beloved husband
The car pulls up
She opens the door
Run into his arms
And feels his kisses
Cool from the evening air

No words are said
They dance in happiness
Into the house
To music only they hear
He loves her hard
Before dinner
And loves her again, after

The phone rings
She takes it up
Turns around
And he is gone
“This is the general hospital,
I believe….’
And she faints

Her beloved has gone
To glory that fateful morn
Thrown into the pavement
By a passing trailer truck
He never made it to work
Nor made it home
Just his love celebrating an anniversary
With his beloved wife

I breathe , you see
the smoke it curls
to swallow me
you hold no vision
nor belief
ambition all missions
ran strong
then weak

the clouds
I catch

but you don't hear
though I cry out aloud .

A boy and his dog
Companions at heart
Lived a peaceful life
In happiness

Then a man on the run
Grabbed the boy with his gun
Took off with the child
Deep into the alleys

The child cried out
To his dog who was near
As the cannine and snout
Bolted out, leaps and bounds

So the man with his knife
Hurt the boy and his voice
When the jaws of his friend
Came to rescue him

Taking the punches
From shots from the gun
Bites of his knife
To save his best friends life

The beautiful dog
Sleek with gold fur
Now painted in red
From the fight with the man

The man away ran
The boy hugged his friend
They kissed and they cheered
Then the feds had appeared

They saw the blood
Splattered everywhere
The boy on the ground
The dog mangled up

The boy couldn't cry
Voice box dead inside
From the attack it was hurt
So the cops saw the look

Of the dog in offence
With their guns in their grips
Shot the animal on site
The boy there then cry

That he had lost a friend
Who had just saved his life
Covered in his blood
The boy wouldn't budge

From the dead dog side
The remains of what lay
In an alley of pain
Where his friend been slain

Each and Every morning at 5

She would make me come outside

Simply to smoke and watch the sunrise

She would talk about running away

Teasing lets go… let’s go today

Placing her head on my shoulder

I think that’s when I wanted to tell her

I turned and her soft lips met mine

As we parted so did the lids of our eyes

The door slammed shut, my words never reached

I didn’t sleep for days, not for weeks

At 5 I would stand outside and weep
