It's Time

Say it loud, say it proud
Let me hear a f*** yeah if you're black or you're brown

White America steady tryna take off your crowns
They stay shooting you down

Blood in the streets
Too many bodies to count

They try to dim your shine and brainwash young minds

But united we stand and scream for justice
                It's Time

Rise up and fight the power
Every minute, every hour

And we won't stop till we overthrow their corrupt towers
Take back what's ours

It was never theirs in the first place
They stole it from the first race to inhabit this land, we're the immigrants of these broken states

I may have a white face, but my heart is every color of skin found in this earth space
So dont you dare group me with those disgraces
Evil parasites that continue to live off of the Black race

Killing for profit
I know we can stop it
We're fighting till it changes or they nail the lid on that coffin

I can't breathe

"Of course, please be respectful of all contributions," we the last line of my Poetry Competition Description.  It's obvious this is a commentary on Eddibl's post.  Please remove it.

RiAN said:Sacrophagus

Dark slithering, no other sees these boundless shapes
through deepest wildest wood, I wade with soul
thorny vines grew a life tree

One morning I awoke from dark ovaries of night
I was a manifestation. My gift was to polish this mirror
Our psychopathical family roots grew tantrum trauma

Entwined  encrypted truths that fell into neighing nights
It was you who held my hands when I cried through blood bitten lips
A false pilgrimage is held in the name of truth

Of human race I stand
You did not hear me

I pray that my city can recover from this nightmare that still haunts us.

Black Lives Matter (4-5-4 Haiku)

Tears shed deep red
Now blood in their stead
‘One Nation’ dead.

Now that this competition is near its end I want to thank everyone for their contributions.  Having to live through this, your contributions have brought comfort to my soul.

I may post some photos I took of my neighborhood in the aftermath of the riots, on this thread, later today.

St. Paul is the sister city of Minneapolis which is why they are often referred to as the Twin Cities.  To demonstrate the racial diversity of my city the photo I'm posting is of my nephew and his wrestling team.
Taken last year, he and his kids won the city conference championship.  My nephew is biracial; native American/Caucasian. Only 23, it's hard to distinguish him from the group.  He's the jerk in the lying in the foreground pointing his finger.

Across the street a much larger building gutted by fire.  The structure will eventually have to be torn down.

So, many of the local businesses were looted.  Sadly, many were family owned.

Revelation Of Denial

Wrapped in camoflague, saturated
with essential oils, songs of freedom conceal the dirge.
Asleep, in my ivory colored palace,
under my crisp white duvet, my spirit
is quickened,  by chaotic energy.

With force I lie prostrate, in humble solitude where discernment speaks
A lashing surrounds my head, as
sounds of passion and reason,  divaricate lies and excuses.

Unstoppable AM/FM vibrational quidnunc feeds the tractable child
Questions rise,  tossed away like
sticks and stones, towering over
 voices that take shape, many
turn away from the sounds of
truth

This super structure created wears
 the face of implicit bias.
Enormous and undeniable it stands before me, yet greater is the ignorance within.  that denies
it's prescence
