Sevens and Gin
However much may depend
On a red wheelbarrow in the rain
I’m here with you
With a seven and seven and a gin and tonic
There’s no smoking indoors
We’re not listening to jazz but there is music
And we are talking
I’m captivated
It doesn’t really matter how much we drink
I live around the corner, I’ll get us home
And if you find that you can’t walk
The rain has stopped and here’s a wheelbarrow
I guess he knew how important
A wheelbarrow could be
On a red wheelbarrow in the rain
I’m here with you
With a seven and seven and a gin and tonic
There’s no smoking indoors
We’re not listening to jazz but there is music
And we are talking
I’m captivated

And if you find that you can’t walk

lethal libations
it was an Old Fashioned romance
...with a Spritz & a twist
a Royal Affair of epic proportions
poor Suffering Bastard in his Tuxedo
& the Platinum Blonde draped in scarlet satin
she...slipping into her Spicy Fifty years
flashing Dark & Stormy eyes
with a backdrop of Hurricane skies
him...looking for the Golden Dream
Damn the Weather & its threats
they tangoed...hello being the Last Word said
setting fire to the night like a Flaming Volcano
she...with her Angel Face & lethal Stinger
lured him like a Zombie with her Slippery Nipple
for Hanky Panky Between the Sheets
using her Woo Woo voodoo & a Kentucky Kiss
she took him willing into her lusty Death Flip
leaving him with the rest of her collectable Unforgettables
a withered husk of a Salty Dog
abandoned beneath an Amber Moon
until a Desert Healer on her filly
stumbled upon him at High Noon
breathing a prayer upon his brow of Corpse Revival
like a Sea Breeze upon his flesh
leading him away with a finger to his lips & a Lemon Drop kiss
they fled from the scene of recent events
clinging to their Horse's Neck
they rode hell bent through Blood & Sand
into a Mediterranean Sunset
for Duende's Cocktail Party comp...thank you for the challenge!

In and Out Martini
He is undoubtedly Eye Candy,
the kind you want to get randy with.
I call him the Alabama Slammer
because he has a hammer
that can put an all-lusting Blushing Lady in place.
There is a romantic grace about him.
He says, “Bésame, mi amor,”
I do because I adore him in spades.
He kneels, saying, “Hello Kitty.”
and articulates how witty he is.
I can feel my Girl Scout Cookie crumble
under the pressure of his lips that rumble.
He lies me in a Bed of Roses
and puts me in poses I did not know I knew.
We shelter ourselves from the April Rain;
he ravages my body and brain.
Making my Honey Deuce feel good with orgasms,
so much that I start to spasm.
He would Wake the Dead girl inside.
Now, it is my turn; I am ready to ride.
I hop on my Brave Bull,
and he grabs a handful of my hair
as I ride him like Lady Liberty.
We both agree
that we are living the Golden Dream.
These moments, shared, reign supreme.
I work my way down,
swirling my finger around his Hairy Navel.
Leading me to his Angel’s Tip,
where I skip breaths to please him.
I love the taste of his Licorice Stick,
and he loves to smear my lipstick.
Blocking my airway
and filling me up with Dulce De Leche.
It goes down the hatch
where we are Game Set Match.

Cocktails for One
A Rewd Britannia
Take one bruised, stoned, red cherry
pair with ginned up white lemonade,
add curaçao when blue to make one merry
and that for sure's what got me laid...

Hard Day
What will you have?
I just wanna drink.
That's why I'm asking you
Just give me something I don't want to think
That's not how this goes
Alright let me think for one moment
Take all the time you need
I guess I'll do this in installments
Give me a Daiquiri
Better yet make that a Manhattan
You went from soft and then hard
Are you sure you know what you're havin’?
OK give me a Penicillin
straight on ice
Better yet give me a Gin and tonic
with no ice
Make up your mind I don't have all night
Ok, ok I don’t want to fight
Give me the strongest cocktail here tonight
Blood and Sand?
Yea that sounds right.

Dark and Stormy
You lure me in with your deep
And dark mysteries. You keep
Pulling me into your storm and
I want to stay. With your hands
All over my body you keep me
Grounded. Within your sea
Green and stormy eyes I am
Safe. You open me like a clam
That can be found on the ocean
Floor. Every bad opinion and notion
Of you goes flying out the door.
You bring me back to the shore
Where it all began when I first
Loved you. The colors that burst
Apart at the seams and you still
Leave me standing in the thrill
Of it all. It is your darkness
That leaves me to feel starkness.
And dark mysteries. You keep
Pulling me into your storm and
I want to stay. With your hands
All over my body you keep me
Grounded. Within your sea
Green and stormy eyes I am
Safe. You open me like a clam

This was really hard to judge, we truly felt we were stuck between a rock and a hard place.
We had to make a choice:
WillowsWhimsies - lethal libations
You wrote an outstanding piece, using 32 cocktails. If you hadn't made those italic, with many it was hard to see they were a cocktail. They blended in beautifully and therefore you won the comp.
Ljdynamic - In and Out Martini
Your piece was equally outstanding. Really clever use of cocktails and so very sexy.
If there was an option to hand out two trophies, you would have certainly received one too.
To caxton, Rew and fianaturie8: you all did an amazing job, every one of your pieces is truly unique and has its charm. I thank all of you poetic entrants for taking on this challenge.

This was such a fun one to write. Thank you for forcing me to hit up Google & learn a few cocktails! Happy to see LjDynamic on the podium with me! I thought sure you had it, LJ! Thank you, Duende!
