The Peace Bell

Nestled between two canyons in the mountains,
The temple stands with a glorious silence,
Up here, you can only hear the wind,
Whispering something old to your soul.

Up here, away from the bustle of the city
There is a peace that’s quiet and unheard,
It’s a place where you can focus and meditate,
Finding compassion for the world.

Inside the temple amid the jade and incense,
There is a reverence that no words can express,
The mind then seems to feel a balance,
Up here where the silence fills your breath.

The Buddhist Zen temple is a hidden treasure,
That in nature a man can calmly contemplate,
Finding a solace that clears the mind,
Which lights the path toward purpose.

And there is the wind again, whispering softly,
As a lizard crawls over a rock,
As two squirrels run between trees,
An eagle glides high in the the cool breeze.

I stare at the top of the hills, green and lush,
Looking for the sound of the invisible wind,
Feeling the gentle caress embrace my face,
Thinking to myself, this is a good place.

My sons then rang the peace bell,
The timbre like an ohm resonates deep,
And I in awe of the place watch quietly,
As a little white butterfly passes my by.

Giggle

Snow Falls.

Spring Awakens.

Snow Laughing.

Life.

Waterfalls.

Captured by the Mountain.

A Pond is Born.

and the Snow

Continues

Smile.

Peace, I'm loved too

Tranquillity crystal clear
on peaceful blue skies
wedded to fluffy clouds
Pine trees jealously
Reach for the blueness
Sighing softly with the breeze

Thoughts of darkness
Weariness, gloom and doom
Slide off my congested mind
I sing with the wind
I laugh, I am alive
With nature in this land

I look up at the full moon
Wan against velvet
Befriended by stars
Lights sourced by man
Augmented beauty
Peace descends into my soul

My heart sings
As I remember
I'm loved too.

MOONLIGHT RAISING

Here within this atmosphere were my frequency vibrates at an level that becomes so intoxicated by my mere senses of my body and soul as it, transcends me to a world unify by my mere existences that floats within the dimensions of the universe drifting through time and space.

For it is here within this ream of neither space nor of time I am free of the poison that fills my spirit with distractions manifesting thoughts deep in the vortex of my mind, into mere segments with viciousness and pure treacherousness each challenging my sanity of my own mind digging into the core of my very being.

But here I am free to see the true beauty of the silents and smell the fresh air with the aroma that drifts off the trees as it floats through the air as the branches, reaching towards the destiny skies like arms being raise high to even be able to hear and see the water floating down a destine stream to seeing as far and beyond were the eyes can see were mountains peaks can be seen for it is here within this atmosphere of a silver moon.

I reemerge reborn and renewed mentally spiritually emotionally physically for it is through this process I can taste the sweet smell of serenity as the, energy of the silver moon transcends my body and mind and soul to a reborn level of elevation completely manifesting my most deepest unspoken thoughts.

I Am Autumn

Awaken me~
autumn leaves
on swaying trees
falling beneath
your walking feet

I am the calm
only felt
when you release
your breath
/sigh/

...On a frosted morning

I am the dew and moss
on the hushed earth
right before the world
plays the music
of migrant birds

Cherish me~
a short-lived season

Clad in forest green
rustic coppers,
auburn notes
on amber trees
wood pit fires
friends and lovers
peace and other
lovely things

I am..

the reason
for your peace

On A Lazy Afternoon

Lungs protest with
allergies
(or sickness)
bubbling up to throatfuls
of itchiness—

I just want to sleep

but I shall miss the waves
of water
and white linen laundry, clothes-pinned
on lines
puffed out like Viking ship sails
commandeer’d by the wind.

Dragonflies and grasshoppers
have knocked on my door—

“Won’t you come out, with us?”

Why yes, I believe I will….

we shall pluck blooms from gardens
and make the labored breaths, worth it.

Perhaps later, I shall give in
to unconsciousness in cool sands, for
the sea is calling, and
I must oblige.

Rockhollow in August

A bee swings by, across the steps, down to the garden
where cabbage butterfly flits undisturbed, a sparrow sits on the summerhouse roof planning her next move.

The cardoons gently tip
over, as rhubarb flourishes and
cosmos dances on stiff breeze.

A blackbird rises from the perrenial border, echinops, verbena, leucanthemum cast aside.

Mosquito larvae form a carpet on the pond,
snacks for the tadpoles and frogs,
but not those eaten by birds.

A tired sort of a day scrapes by,
I weed the beds, chat to the neighbours over the wall, sit on the swing
and generally watch life go by.

Evening forms

A murmuration, shape shifting, dipping, lifting
Night clouds, sliding sunset towards its roost
Faster than dawn. seems its closing form
It's golden palette soon absorbed
Into the rainbows darker hues
How quick the change indigo and blue
The chill of self reflection, lights the first star
Last notes of contentment the days orchestra
Shadows, the players that weaken and change
Descends to night, the first yawn unconstrained
Ties that eve
Its robes wrapped as darkness thieves
