Starry Sky
Starry sky
Stars in her eyes
She dreams of tomorrow
With no fear of yesterday
Brave girl
Her heart has wings
Stars in her eyes
She dreams of tomorrow
With no fear of yesterday
Brave girl
Her heart has wings

Wish🌟
I’ll wish upon a star when I grow up.
A nurse’ry cloud will have a child for me
And bring her down to earth in a teacup,
Unless it brings a boy instead of tea.
I’d wished upon a star when I was 3,
To let me have a yellow puppy when
I slept among the presents ‘neath our tree,
To be the one to hug it first thing then.
I wished upon a star because I lied
When I forgot to feed my little friend,
And Dad found my pet goldfish on its side.
I was ashamed, I’ll never fib again.
I’ll wish upon a star when I grow wise.
I want to see you, God, before I die.
You’ll know me as you look into my eyes,
Then from my bed and children will I fly.
A nurse’ry cloud will have a child for me
And bring her down to earth in a teacup,
Unless it brings a boy instead of tea.
I’d wished upon a star when I was 3,

The Girl from the Blue Nebulae
The girl from the Blue Nebulae
Brings a message of life, hope, and peace
While ignoring all physical laws
She crosses the parsecs with ease!
Her mission, to heal mankind’s curse
Is a task that no being should bear
We inhabit the same universe
But our sins are unwelcome out there!
Her kind are forgiving, yet just—
While humanity’s sin is renowned
While other worlds turn in disgust
Her people send love so profound!
Sadly, her message was lost
And none of us noticed she cared
After all those parsecs she crossed
She lost hope that mankind could be spared!

Eternal Rock
On this Eternal Rock
I stand my ground
Fighting around the clock
Where evil is found
Embued with mystical might
I whirl my sword
Causing fear over night
Driving away the hoard
Night turns dark blue
The stars encompass me
Powers forever flow through
Mystical lightning around me
They envoke their will
I'm their champion reborn
Evil blood shall spill
So sound freedom's horn
The birds of night
They are my eyes
Forever watching from flight
Because evil never dies
On this Eternal Rock
I stand my ground
Forever saving my flock
Where evil is found

What Is Her Future?
She is standing firmly on her rock-solid fountain and
Is trying to picture her future that lays ahead of her
In her head. Should she choose her life set in stone?
Or live dangerously close to the edge, ready to take
The plunge into the unknown and wild blue yonder.
There may be a day when she will fully understand
Why she was put here. The sky above her might blur
Or tilt ever so slightly and sway, but she has thrown
All caution. She chooses to takes a chance. To make
A step forward is all it takes. She is left to wander.

My sincerest congratulations to OxyMoronicMe for winning the third round of "A Picture Holds a Thousand Words." As I've already commented on your poem, it's absolutely beautiful and it shows the great character that you have. Nicely done!
Congratulations to the runner-ups, Jade-Pandora and wallyroo92, whose poems brought me a sense of peace and had happiness bubbling inside of me. Thanks to the both of you!
I must admit that choosing a winner was difficult because I enjoyed all of the entries; each of them were brilliant in their own way, and I wish I could have chosen all of you as winners, haha. Thanks again for participating, and I hope to see you all in this month's round of "A Picture Holds a Thousand Words."
