To Be Or Not To Be (Men’s Health)
This is the one of those topics I always wanted to discuss in depth, I did host a Straight Talk Live Blog, and I surveyed several men who are circumcised versus men who have never been circumcised.
In my gallop poll, the reasons will always give credence to the choice of the parent(s) decision.
Most men from all walks of life, social economical prestige, and all male participants have taken the time to convey their spiritual beliefs and their social impact on this related issue.
Let’s delve further as to what exactly is circumcision and I will break down...

Endearment To Mother Earth
To reap what we sow is so beautiful when you embed into the earth good seeds to sustain the mind, when the palate needs the fruit of its tender hand’s harvest.

Cleansing Sage
I am a son of Mother Earth,
Proud of my Indigenous heritage birthed
My heritage, strong and deep
A bond with Nature I always keep
With sage in hand and heart in peace
I clear the darkness, let worries release
From the mire, I lift my spirit high
To the Great Spirit, I send a prayerful sigh
With each smudging, a new beginning
I renew my soul, cleanse my being
From the negativity, I free my mind
Leaving the past, seeking the divine
As I cleanse my heart and my eyes
I see more clearly, no more lies
The truth...

how to become a facist
How to Become a Fascist
Clan thinking and group thinking are always dangerous
Our loyalty to the group we belong to betrays us
Waving of flags makes us think we have the right on our side
We are blind to the downside of this certainty
We stop considering an alternative, our narrowness
Makes us think other people suffering is their fault
For not following our path of righteousness
When outsiders reject our way, we react with fury
We will, in the name of freedom (ours) and slay
Any opponent as an enemy of our holly values
we say we...

"Canoeing the Mountains"
They say that “the church” today
is like the Lewis & Clark expedition –
charting new territory,
exploring the ashes & ruins of Christendom,
finding a new route to the Great Commission…
it’s supposed to be inspiring.
Problem is, we’re not explorers at heart;
there’s not enough curiosity
and we never volunteered for this journey.
We thought we had already arrived.
Knew our map inside & out;
so convinced of its righteousness
we just slapped it onto the turtle’s back
without stopping to look
at the beauty of...

Christmas, a lovely tradition
Some will say that Christmas is falsehood
Some will say that those who celebrate Christmas
Are false worshippers of God*
Of course for many, God is a sort of ghost
Created by men to try to understand the not-understandable
(Indeed, has anybody anywhere seen the person?)
So if God is a ghost (also part of the trio as the Holy Ghost)
Then let Him be feasted at Halloween
And let others enjoy Christmas which stems, yes,
From thousands of years of pagan traditions.....
Leading, for Christians, to the birth of Christ.

Waes Hael
A hale, and hearty Wassail
A toasting of toast, a tasty morsel
Soaked in cider of apple
To be hung on trees to grapple
For friendly spirits to please
Anglo-Saxon lords arranged feasts
Like drunken priests
A giant bowl of ale, cider, and mead
With bountiful spices, and crab apple seed
Had a hunch, at a wayward punch
Was hale, and hearty
For revellers to party
Good tidings, for the new year ahead
Oft quaffed, for happy homesteads
Old English reasons, for boozy seasons
And thence to legends, now long...

Sled Dog
No matter which way he does face
In his eye you see the race
From start to finish at winning pace.
He is the sled dog, born of faith.
Though he once pulled heavy loads
In course of daily work and toil
Now he races to serve his creed
Of serving man in face of need.
He is indeed a northern breed
Of the true North strong and free
Of harsh conditions, freezing cold
And true resolve of spirits bold.
In his eyes you see the light
Of that spirit burning bright.
He loves that challenge, surging fast

From a photo, 1944
There was a war on the menfolk had gone soldiering
a boy of thirteen and a half was ploughing the field
handling two grey geldings.
The soil looked rich and loose, perfect for Idaho spuds
the big delicious plant ideal for backing.
The boy wore overalls and was absorbed in his work
keeping the plough in a straight line and the horses
the right speed.
Further down the dale, the women near the barn were
hanging up washing, his brother was playing with his dog.

The Uprising Of The Black Man In A Forgotten Society With Poet REMARKABLE_8
If you are just now just tuning into my Straight Talk Live forum, I would like to introduce to everyone Poet REMARKABLE_8. He will advocate with his voice what it details to be an African American man in society and some of the myths and complexities he must face to survive in a world that does not dutifully cater to his wishes or provide the necessities of his needs.
A superficial state of existence not by choice but my designs going back as far as when the Constitution was first drafted.
Before we get started, REMARKABLE_8, can you give...
