When Will I Bite Into A Rotten Apple?
I tend to an apple tree in my backyard, pouring out all I have
On my hands and knees, I pull the thorny weeds
Its fruit so sweet, my calloused hands scorched with blisters
become soft as a mothers song, even for
just a bite

We the classless
seek no revolution only fairness
we like quality
a well-balanced diet
and cold German lager.
The stinking rich
one assumes they do not bath
can continue to pong
we seek no egalitarianism
only German lager.

A Gothic Poem
man made rust, and diamond dust
broken vessels of the arcane
spell spoken from ruby lips
rhyming like a poetic refrain
how my pulse races...
haunted remnants of the wilting rose
blows through argent winds
scarlet sunburst, crimson petals
electric blue avenues, welcoming
the highway man's smoking barrel
the colors snap poloroids...
I'm not sub-human
my roots are buried deep
as the moon dangles wafer-thin
and the river calls to me
coiling on the forest floor
there is a...

Death of A Crane
toppling towers
fall into rough seas
speak dying crane
tides rolling in
as crab scuttles pass
a diving beak
crash of waves
washing up mermaids
sing sweet melodies
tiptoe on panes of glass
waft rats they scurry
into fishing nets
dying crane
finds a herringbone
to snack upon at dawn
as the lotus blossom
drifts down the stream
of memory

Burly Bertha, the barmaid
was quite buxom beneath her bodice
Sir Billy he's a dashing blade
he squims in his seat like a mollusk
piper pipes at the gate at dawn
you hear his gayity in his song
shut your cake hole, but I prefer pie
top of the pops, and cherries never stop
growing from branches,
waiting to be plucked
whale bone, xylophone played at night
bubblegum pop gets caught in your hair
swatting at flies with the evening news

Mummy Dust
There will be hell to pay!"
I heard him shout out
shaking the rafters so...
dust drifted down
into my gaping mouth
the taste of old whiskey
as avarice
greets my dry tongue
like scorched flesh
standing to close to fire
"There will be hell to pay!"
blackbirds sing from their pulpits
craved oak benches giving me splinters
whilst I lull my days in the chapel
those scriptures that they speak
becomes gibberish in my ears
mummy dust settles,from the trestle
drifts...

LET IT ALL OUT!
Verse 1
Am all set in a disco..
What a mind blowing sound flow..
Let it out..
Armors on point..
Let it out..
Barriers on flood..
Let it out..
Carriers no choice..
Let it out..
Dummies now go dumb..
Let it out..
All my five gears done wore..
Fellas up front in systole..
Fellas back here in diastole..
When I set my foot on turbo..
You will see town square don't blow..
Taj mahal doesn't flow..
Even the Pentagon don't poll..
The pores on...

I'VE NEVER READ A BAD POEM
OPINION
I was just thinking,
which I dare and do
some of the time.
I was thinking about how
everybody and their
friends and enemies
have opinions about
poets and poetry.
Which is great and
acceptable to me as
a free tinker and
non-respecter of persons.
The gamuts of opinions run from
fools to brilliant, from academia, to
smart, professional, and illiterate.
I believe, and I'm not asking
anyone to agree with me,
that every poet has the

WHY I COMMENT ON POEMS
HONOR
It is an honor,
to me, for me,
to read the poems
and writings of
others, regardless of
where they appear;
even on toilet walls
NO,
not to sit in judgment,
criticize, or evaluate,
but to enjoy, meditate,
and appreciate what the
writer has put into the poem.
Some are written out of joy,
some out of sadness, anger,
sexual arousal, being coy;
others seek to challenge
and create questions,
and even confusion which
is good at the time.
While I recognize spelling errors,

THOUGHTS ABOUT POETRY WRITING
SELF-DISCOVERY
I do not
write poetry,
poetry writes me.
I do not have to
search for words,
words find me;
I freely and openly
sin against syntax.
I never know
the ending, the
ending is a surprise.
There is never
a disappointment
because my ever-present
Muse knows best.
I do not write
because I have to,
I write because
it is in my DNA.
I am not concerned
about critics;
I am my best critic.

a special time to write;

Thirty-Days Of...
Migranes and insomnia
Mental euphoria
Stomach aches
Poetry cakes
Mind explosions
Flustered emotions
Finger cramps
Lighted lamps
Annoying confusion
Napo delusion
Writing on command
Self reprimand
Writer’s block
Eyes on clock
New inspiration
Steady irritation
Good poetry
Bad poetry
Frustration at its best
Halfway dressed
Sleeping with letters
Poetry collectors
Burning eyes
Sobbing cries
Insanity plea
Poetry where for art thee
Writing early
