Maelstrom
my storm can't be controlled
it is a wild tsunami of feeling
with the rolling thunder of passion
clouded with doubt
I am a woman in flux
the winds in my valley blow,
across the plains of my frustrations
with an internal lust
sensual in my presentation
my wants and desire peak
brewing with a southernly tempest
hello, I am chaos
it's nice to meet you
a mischievous soul gallivants in my sanctuary
he is my spirit child
born of the need of you
coming together as one on the aether ...

I'VE NEVER READ A BAD POEM
OPINION
I was just thinking,
which I dare and do
some of the time.
I was thinking about how
everybody and their
friends and enemies
have opinions about
poets and poetry.
Which is great and
acceptable to me as
a free tinker and
non-respecter of persons.
The gamuts of opinions run from
fools to brilliant, from academia, to
smart, professional, and illiterate.
I believe, and I'm not asking
anyone to agree with me,
that every poet has the
right to express what emotions,
mind, heart, and...

Purging
I rip
from abreast
this heart
from my chest
splatter neatly
upon my
dinner table
feeling
and sensing
on a platter
left alone to
intermingle
bite off
some sorrow
chew up
your ventricles
let the teeth
of your thoughts
digest
judgments
abound
anxiously
gulp down
some refreshing
ethereal air
taste the
intuition
bitter upon
your tongue
where
languid moods
still linger
perceiving
hollowed out
purity ...

LOVE OF MY LIFE, I COME
(With apologies to author of the hymn, "O Lamb of God, I come", to whose tune it could also be sung.)
Just as I am, without one plea
For my Adam-like nudity
But warmth of love you have for me,
Love of my life, I come.
Just as I am, without a clout,
What clothes we wore now strewn about.
Desires within now come without.
Love of my life, I come.
Just I am you shall receive
Me, as to each other we cleave.
Your wedding promise I believe,
Love of my life, I come.
Just as I am (the love we own

my song
if there
were
some way
for me
to convince
you
to be
enticed
by
my song,
maybe adorn
myself
with words,
wrap myself
in lines
from poems,
would you
accept
all these
things,
would you
be interested?

Flags and Symbols
I love feeling the early morning cool breeze,
As I run the nearly empty streets of my town,
But suddenly I begin to feel some kind of fear,
That I’m at risk simply because I’m brown.
At those hours I only see one fellow runner,
I always smile and wave at the kind stranger,
He signs “peace” as he jogs the opposite way,
But then I can’t help feeling that I’m in danger.
The sun is rising, the air is getting warmer,
The music is helping me push through,
But as the morning light is shining bright,
Some of the neighborhoods are in...

Espalier Divine
A sonnet is a plan akin
To a dream catcher in the night
Apprehending thought process flight,
On its way out, or its way in
Its customary digression;
A traipsing tumbleweed of thought
In dire need of an anchor spot
To prevent its retrogression...
With air brake caesura feathers
To slow mentation's hectic ebbs
Or rhyme scheming spider webs
To snare spirits, in all weathers...
On the circuitous sort of grid
Forever friendly to the id.

Cycling a Poetic Ride
I will take my old red bike for a ride
when the muse sends a breeze from the hill
no matter what time, be it warmth or chill
i'll follow my feel, and Nature's tide
It may be midnight, dawn, or at dusk
when the tingle stirs a dormant nerve
i may even not be in such a hot verve
frozen with cold, or in the sun, i bask
I ride my bike sometimes at midnight
hear the engine rolling over its tires
an onomatopoeia sounds like barbed wires
sniper in the bush, lying out of sight
As i ride my bike i feel...

Chapter one\book of words
As the darkness was leading the way. I woke to find myself in a coach, driven by ancient Silver Wolves who come from the lands of myth. They are magical creatures who remind us of our own animal self sometimes. They are guides of the goddess and signify a need for the herd. The immortal hunger to follow the Moon Mother
Moon, as their mother, is their womb and to Her they howl, their howl is filled with unfulfilled longing. When I listen to their voices I hear a wild uncontrolled cry for freedom. Their cry is for life, for the wild somewhere deep. Deeper than the forest, deeper...

Sky Clad
...second sight. That gift of vision includes not only power to see distant or future events,
but the viewless forms of air.” - Robert Lang
Tis said that Myrrdin lived his life backwards
And what is backwards
The opposite of what you know to be right
Or, not in prophetic foretellings
But seeing after, manifestations of second sight
***
To see you sky clad 'neath summer stars
Skin illumed by the rising moon
New and full, it's danse summons you
Where fires blaze between set stones

Major Arcana
don't fear the Tower card
let the unstable dwelling
in which you were barely welcomed
burn to the ground
since you are not in it
you will not die
you will be reborn
and as the smoke clears
you will see
not patches of blue sky
but a heaven's worth
and without that massive cold structure
a magnificent view
let the unstable dwelling
in which you were barely welcomed
burn to the ground

In an untitled unity/ Co write with Poet Rianne
We met in solaced frequencies
I saw the names held tight
began to paint my vision
releasing each pricking leaf
Reading a book where
I dream casted your soul
aflame into enigmatic elegies
proclaiming myself
as love
entangled
waited while I placed
placebo orchids
behind your heart shells
mystically
and so on
you don't remember anymore
you don't haunt anymore
my incomplete sleep
I wake up scared
that you are not here yet
I'm afraid to tell
my dreams
I'm afraid to tell you ...
