a joyous spring
a sweet softness
edges itself upward,
a rainbow of blooms
spreading out
over the landscape,
caressing the vision.

spreading out

Winter Sun
I can't believe how warm it is today
As though winter has withered and died
I guess while it's warm I can dream
But I know that winter never gives up the ghost
So early
And we'll likely pay for this balmy day
With a foot of snow
And bitter cold
Oh well
While the sidewalk is clear I think I'll go for a walk
And greet my winter pale neighbours
As they stick noses outdoors
For a little sniff of spring
So warm your cold souls
And thank your God
For the sunshine
As though winter has withered and died
I guess while it's warm I can dream
But I know that winter never gives up the ghost
So early
And we'll likely pay for this balmy day
With a foot of snow
And bitter cold
Oh well
While the sidewalk is clear I think I'll go for a walk
And greet my winter pale neighbours

i heard her voice
i heard her voice
and winter moved,
spring arrived
like tenderness,
like fresh flower blooms,
so sweet, intoxicating
in each way,
words she spoke
danced all around me,
i would caress each moment
if i were allowed
to hear her every day.,

the past re visited
the past revisited
He was going back to his home in a tiny village from
where people congregated living close together and professed to hate it, the absence of war had cost the country dearly, and unemployment was high, like the enforced idleness had made people apathetic
there were no cars on the road, petrol was too expensive
for people, as was electricity to recharge batteries
how the situation was in other countries, no one knew as the fabled internet was forbidden
it had it was said
a bad influence on the young who believed the rubbish ...

Empyrean Revere
Admire playful spring lambs bleat
and gaze on graceful swallows swoop.
It's blissful to let the hours beguile
As evening creeps through late afternoon.
Lazing calmly on a strangers porch,
or paddling bravely on surface high.
Hidden creatures splash and coo,
branches reach across a sentimental sky.
Contented under tartan thread,
admirers ignored the bitter colds bite.
By nurtured flame the colours bled,
lochs surface mirrored dimming light.
On cloudless canvas the night sky boomed;
Twilight wore a cape wove...

Goodness
It rises up
With the green smell
The scent of fresh Spring grass
Carries on in warm
Late Spring rains
Drenching the sky in
Muggy, humid
Glorious grey
And the burst
Of leaves on trees
And the kaleidoscope scene
Of dahlia and lantana
And a bless-ed myriad of color
Proudly, the harbingers of Summer
And the crack of thunder
In the black midsummer sky
And monsoon rain is made
Suddenly bright

Waltz in Amber & Blue
Amber light dances across rusty rooftops.
Flirting with the darkness; the whole morning stops.
Taking a moment’s comfort in the silence,
Glowing beams swell to swallow the blackness.
Seeds of daylight thoughts dawn and deepen
Performing waltz around my mind.
Keeping rhythm in threes; progress steepens.
Carefully averting reason, or roots,
or tales intertwined.
Twirling by oceans unexplored, there’s pause.
Painted toe dips into pale water blue.
Depth undisclosed, bravery paddles to the middle.
Sun-dried skin...

Spring Breeze
Months of staring out a hateful window with false promises of a better tomorrow.
Under a white sky that drops angelic drops of magic until it's heart is content.
Could mother nature be a scorned wife avenging a vow that was voided before its time?
On the date of March 21st I feel an endorphin rush as a husband to be must feel at the alter.

the big bang
The big bang
Albert Einstein, in a dreamy mood, said the Big Bang
was when the future, the now and the past happened all at once
It was seventy-two years ago I was sent to a farm
for unruly children
Where I was accepted by the animals that thought of me
as another beast working for the man
Except for the chickens, they hated me with a passion
they would, had they been giants, have eaten me as a worm
I was the one who had to go into the hen house and steal
the warm eggs the hens were clucking about.
On the attic of the farm, I found...

We need to feel alive .
One day , it will all fall into place , patience being the observer of great deeds . Just like the summer gives way to the autumnal leaves with all the colours that shine with a chorus of choirs . Celebrating each shade and hue with harmony and good grace . The winter sneaks in when the temperature plummets and scarves and gloves of many colours cover hands and rosy cheeks and eventually packs up Jack Frost and the spring jumps hop scotching across the landscape throwing stones amongst the weeds to expose crocuses and daffodil shoots.Full of promise and delight and you see change is driven by...

Maius
Born from the gushing rain of Aprils departure.
The liquid of sad souls glistens against the window's pain.
Earth cries, as my terminal hope struggles to stay alive.
Violet gray clouds are glossed with morning light.
The sun in its relentless pursuit to prevail after the rains.
The dogwoods know the uncertainties of tomorrows.
The iris's know the incredulity of future days.
But they flaunt their beauty anyway.

Maybe May?
So it is May
Perhaps, maybe
May, may be
A merry merry month
May-haps not
Maybe mayhem
Would prefer the reverse
Come what may
a Yam!
