Gentle scents in the air
Tickle daydreams

Springtime Affirmation
Without a reason to
Yarrows will blossom
Regardless, its place is found
Burgeon and abound
And a reason to bloom stems
Destitute to yearn
Horsemints will prosper
Tight-knit, hand in hand, arise
United likewise
Grown together by design
Bereft and forlorn
Fireweeds will cluster
Moving on after distress
Pondering hopeless
Bold in ashes, it endures
Nature will move on
Springtime will flourish
Any plight whatsoever
Rise and endeavor
The world could use another

Buds of Renewal
The buds anxiously wait to burst through
warmer, softer ground.
They sprout like a secret lacking sound.
First signs of spring and the excited joy they bring.
Accompanied by joyous melodies the birds do sing.
Robin's, dressed in their red breast, hop everywhere.
A sky saturated blue, provokes a happy hypnotic stare.
The sun's soft spring heat shines on the thick, smooth buds.
Sometimes what is fragile is at the same time tough.
And renewal of earth and heart is abundantly enough.

Had a spring clean today!
After a quick look around
And to my surprise
Found a small spring
Lain upon the bedroom carpet
In a curious looking pose
So i picked it up
Saw that it was a bit grubby
And cleaned it
So now it's as bouncy as
A spring lamb
Or a ball
Or a spring!

spring is a flirtatious vixen
eager to sow her precious seeds
& experience a world barely awakening
she dares burst forth
...so full of life...
while snow still blankets the earth
coy little crocuses shoving impatiently through
splashes of purples...yellows...& blues
exuberant & anxious to show her potential
she flaunts her prominent belly
glowing with her fertile beauty
as she births flora & fauna alike
a new year has been born
with all her children gathered at her feet
decadently spawning every color...

The Spring
A soft breeze blows over me
As I sit in my yard, eyes closed
It's the sweet breath of spring
Carrying the scents that awaken
The heart of a peaceful man
It brings a calmness to my soul
Often troubled I crave these moments of zen
When depression and oppression both
Are wiped from my mind
And my anxiety lifts from my shoulders

Goodness of life
I cannot help but to smile

Steps Away Until The Bridgehead
Beneath the icy grasp, it chilled,
Frost on bridges laid, in silence faced.
The timber, warm and brown, now suffocates,
Under snow's cruel hold, it contemplates.
It chilled, the path ahead obscured,
Each step on ancient wood, death's whispers lured.
Though strong it seems, my foot shall not be placed,
On bridges fraught with fears, life not disgraced.
It chilled, with eerie dread, the crunch below,
Upon the frosty deck, my fears aglow.
Not stand, nor march I’d dare,
In ice, though light of hope, bare.

Within a single day's blink.
Fuschia buds blossom
an exquisitely pale pink.
Impatient branches wear
