Old Flame
Old Flame
Red bandanna of tresses
Tied in a flaming bun
Her hand wave a kite
Rising on spring breeze
To meet and greet
My forever dream
With the sound of her lilt
Born on song wings
Red bandanna of tresses
Tied in a flaming bun
Her hand wave a kite
Rising on spring breeze
To meet and greet
My forever dream
With the sound of her lilt
Born on song wings

Where Poesy Resides
Where Poesy Resides.
Oh! how the view is seizing !!
When the sun is rising
And the Earth is praising
The Beauty of the lord
When Summer is blazing
And the heat is dazing
Cheerful cicadas sizzling
Arpeggios tunes on the cord
Flat meadows where lazing
Herds and cattles grazing
Sheperds never stressing
Keeping zen eyes on the herds
And then comes Autumn
Acid and sour like lemon
Bearing a languid boredom
A dirge sung post motem ...

Roams the land of mystic light
It's spring where we are

A Poet's Delight
A Poet's Delight
My delight is right
It is a poetry to write
Something very light
A bird's flight
A pure wide landscape
A blinding mirror of snows white
What the delight
In a pretty sight
A winged kite swimming
Within ethereal flight
What a delight,!!!
In the long Summer's...

Dew Kissed Destiny
When in bloom, the succulent flowers and their sweet perfume do loom,
Announcing springtime's arrival with a vibrant, colorful boom
The world awakens from its winter slumber,
As nature puts on a glorious, blooming number
From crocuses to daffodils, each petal unfurls,
In a kaleidoscope of colors, each more beautiful than pearls
And in the air, the scent of fresh flowers,
As if a thousand perfumers had been at work for hours
As old memories fade to the frost of regret,
New ones bloom underneath the sun of hope, a duet ...

Winter’s Thaw
frigid
night air
pierces
new holes
through
my heart
it’s the start
of spring
birds sing
last year’s
crisp leaves
graze the
frozen ground
with a sound
like dry brush
strokes
that evoke
all the senses
wind is reckless
a painted canvas
of neon sunset
hangs overhead
chitter chatter
can be heard
from chipmunks’
holes
stretch my toes
bugs buzz
around
our home
but it’s still
a bit too cold
for flowers’
arrival
their survival ...

Vernal Melodies
I let my feet shuffle and take a gypsy ramble, take their route, leading my thoughts into fields of early Spring, a few lines walk at the end of the small town, burdened with morosity. apathy and loss.............
A vernal stroll in the outskirts pastures, at the edeg of the busy town, in its own thoughts drowned,in fuzzy vision of truth lost the compass....
I find the clear fileds of wheat under sunny smile swaying , and the birds, sparow, skylarks and thrush all having their rhymes sent into the fragrant breeze of the morning zephyr
Sky is crystal sapphire and clean,...

Dear March,
I spent the month of Love
coughing and spitting and praying
the weather would stop changing.
Every time it does,
hot to cold, cold to hot,
my body decides to fill my sinuses with snot
and then tries everything in its power
to keep me from getting said snot out.
And I’m left to snort olbas oil up my nose,
prop myself up on cold meds, mouth breathe,
and take a covid test at least twice a week.
There were some bright spots:
my boys took care of me
and put all those ‘independent living’
lessons to good...

Goodbye Winter
Behold the first chirpings of morn.
The lull of innocence is born.
The ancient familiar melody proclaims
the end of winters thaw.
No longer just a procession
of a lonely crow's caw.
Daffodils and tulips shake my heart with mirth.
Recalling the springs of my life,
the riot of rebirth.
The cadence of sweet warbling,
awakens my inner child.
Untainted, carefree and wild.
Plucking dandelion bouquets,
amongst the peeps & chittering,
of a sun stained spring day.

April Reigns ( Pantoum )’23
April reigns, it reigns supreme
In the fashion of fleeting monarchs
Right before the warm summer dream
Waiting for fireflies and their sparks
In the fashion of fleeting monarchs
Like bonfires in orange and black
Waiting for fireflies and their sparks
The lilacs, and gardenias take us back
Like bonfires in orange and black
The lilies, sneak out at night
The lilacs, and gardenias take us back
As the perennial vibrance, fills our sight

Fern
Four faced woman born from a dandelion leaf
thrice folded tongue rolls snake coiled
once more nectar spews sun
carcassed winter returns
icicle icicle
bells chime
I am brethern sky
a pantomine blue

where words
are soft lights
spoken

Blossom
Behold the budding dawn.
I'm no longer reticent.
In the voiceless
womb of a new day.
My veins throb
in sweet proclamation
of you.
My inner blue melancholy
vanishing.
Your blossom
perfumes the aurora.
Upon the fleeting darkness
I lay cradled
in an abysmal ecstasy
of dewed fantasies of you.
I'm no longer reticent.
In the voiceless
womb of a new day.
My veins throb
in sweet proclamation
of you.
My inner blue melancholy
vanishing.
Your blossom
perfumes the aurora.
