Science Poems & Science Fiction Poetry

Science poems about studying the physical and natural world. Also science fiction poetry about how scientific developments could change our lives in the future.
Dichotomy of Mind and Heart
Scientifically, legally obliged,
Unique, original, individual,
Intepretation applies,
Unironically unifying,
With definitions, semantics, observations, context,
Proving conviction,
In motive and intent,
Where beneath the surface,
There is judgment and opinion...
I see potential for art and heart.
Artistic, disposed imagination,
That's literal, physical, technical, carnal,
Perceives emotional attention span,
Vicariously separate,
In pride, prejudice, bias, and partiality,
Where any truth...

Not The Weight Loss Miracle He Had In Mind
Norman created a formula
that might make him become thinner.
But after he gulped down,
he felt strong pains and blacked
out. When he woke up,
he looked at the
mirror. He
is now
She.

Too many
I have had plenty of many moms,
some witches, which is not that bad,
many hags, who had made me sad.
So many moms so little differences...
Some such bad opinions to share,
some much good ideas to spare.
I can recognize them with a glare.
I can sort them by a simple affair.
I spot all of them here and there.
Waiting at my classroom door...
Trying to read my thoughts.
Aiming to reach me in a hunt.
Moms should never get close
to their children teachers, ever!
Our planets are too far away...

Number
Seven days of the creation
Formed a sabbatic doorway
Upon your chessboard 8 of 8
Male to female material make
Virtue of 3/6/9 pulls mind view
Third eye blindness thus undone
Mental crown into the 9th ascent
Octave of ten bring zero to the one
11 into 12 crossing unknown abyss
Touches supernal unmanifested (1)

Experiment That We Had Conducted
Xenogeneic experiment that we had
conducted on Jessica resulted in her
walking around naked and wanting to get
it on with the very first person that she sees.

Better Living Through Chemistry II
Better living through chemistry II
In the vast expanse where science meets the soul,
Seven seekers danced, each playing a vital role.
Their stories, like rivers, flow through the heart of time,
Illuminating paths, in rhythm and in rhyme.
Curie's Luminous Journey
In the shroud of night, Curie’s hands, bold and kind,
Wove radium’s light, a beacon for humankind.
Her brilliance, a star in medicine’s vast sky
Illuminating hope, where cure and care lie.
From her radiant discovery, a new dawn broke,

My Empty Space.
I fear that deep, dark, cold, of outer space
it mocks my feeble spark of being, so,
it's up there, lurking, but so in my face
with its life bringing age-old big bang glow.
It's waiting for my cold scattered ashes
this foul, soulless, dead, still eternal thing,
to take my atoms like so much trash is
taken by trash carts, still, I'll cling and cling...
It's the rotten fixed fate of emptiness
I shall not get to leave a space behind,
this soap-bubble of my brief consciousness
will blink, snuffing out my life-spark, my time.

Of My Next Life
Of my next life's incarnation
so my tea-bags divination
tells me, I'll be a mote of dust,
in dark Cosmo's nothingness
sleeping peacefully, the mindless one.
But such it is if spin's begun
I Shall Be the attractive one,
pulling other motes as I must
to my next life...
Mote by mote time's slow accretion
spinning fast to nuclear fusion,
crammed crushed shrunk in magnetic lust
till at long last, ( tea-bags I trust)
I burst out aflame, Ra, the Sun ...

Step on the Gas
Juiced up from the heat of plutonium
creating its own power supply,
far past the heliosphere of our sun
Voyager-One speeds on to alien skies...
Launched from Florida's cape Canaveral
way back in nineteen seventy-seven,
fifteen billion miles past but still local
they've not yet reached those high gates of heaven...
More than thirty-eight thousand miles an hour
at that speed twenty thousand years will pass,
before it nears the star Alpha Centauri
unless it can somehow step on the...

M-Xylene or Meta Xylene
1307 is the UN number
Marked as danger ⚠️
Boiling at 139 degrees Celsius
It doesn’t react with water
Miscible in ethanol
Miscible in diethyl ether
It is a colorless liquid
That is also flammable vapor
Concerns with xylenes focuses on narcotic effects
Serious exposure can cause sleepiness, irregular heartbeats, fainting or even death.

OUR THEORY
Only a lifetime
Destiny
Foreshadowed by
An authenticity
A forbidden fruit
Dripping chocolate
Worlds stop
At her will
Defying gravity
A relativity curve
Finding the quickest way
Between us
Which is
Never a straight line
Calculating the speed
To cover the distance
That separates us
Dividing the space
Over time
The probability of
Finding each other
Distributed as a wave
That interferes
With the paradigm
Superposition
Confuses the senses

A magnitude of...
