Maybe In Heaven
I never held your hand, in our storied romance.
Life took you away, before I had that chance.
Maybe in the year 2057.
If not then, then maybe in Heaven.
I never got to kiss, & wish you good night;
Or watched God above you, be your guiding light.
Maybe at once, The Lord's will, & every clock strikes at 7.
If not then, then maybe in Heaven.
I never really made your heart, my own.
Rather nursed my broken one, on nights alone.
Maybe on an appointed day, God will hear my prayer, Micah 7:7.

As the sun rises, so does my devotion to you.
In your eyes, my heart finds a cozy haven.
