Myth or mythomania
Where in wind swayed ways
may you lift from branches
to grow a compass from compassion
these muddy banks where once
a home rooted in undead soil
snail skinned oxygen eyed
plasticised melodies begin
sinking to where upon
further deeper
a man grows
these inner surfaces
an iris for an eye
he turns on the water tap
dreams within steam
from a kettle
where among water
he abides to peace
how Nordic fjords
reek cyanide
tourist ferries
brochures ...

Earth Navel
Earth Navel
She is the navel of the world
Who imbibes the silent sunshine
Of a golden autumn forest of light
That glimmers in the mirror pools
Of her eyes
That see into the heart of nature
And she grows like the tree rings
Of an ancient oak
That remembers the thirsty years
She is the mystery of Gaia
Whose lungs breathe the aeolian breeze
She drinks the quiet sunlight
Like a maple leaf
Pining for summer
When dusk dreams settle
In the chambers of her soul
Where the bird of paradise slumbers ...
She is the navel of the world
Who imbibes the silent sunshine
Of a golden autumn forest of light
That glimmers in the mirror pools
Of her eyes
That see into the heart of nature
And she grows like the tree rings
Of an ancient oak

In the chambers of her soul

Queen of Darkness
Queen of Darkness
She is the angel
Guarding the gates of her Eden
Wielding a flaming sword
Wounded but never conquered
She is friend to the serpent
In whose lair she sleeps
And the spider whose webs
Are the art that decorate her eaves
She wears her lipstick feminism
While peering through glasses
With lens made of the crystal fury
Of Bloody Mary’s cocktail glass
She is the angel
Guarding the gates of her Eden
Wielding a flaming sword
Wounded but never conquered
She is friend to the serpent
In whose lair she sleeps
And the spider whose webs
Are the art that decorate her eaves
She wears her lipstick feminism
While peering through glasses
With lens made of the crystal fury
Of Bloody Mary’s cocktail glass

Inspired by Poets
In fields, a whispering sway of Pampas
of feminists' tufts and sleeves
but easy to know the plumes
Inspired by poets in stylish fash'
where the soil has been kissed
by the living hedge

Embracing Monsoons
Embracing monsoons of memories
and wet eyes weeping happiness
drops of a symphony as if tea
lingering monsoons in rhyme
gathering in dreams so free
flickering shadows, I see
embracing monsoons of memories
and wet eyes weeping happiness
drops of a symphony as if tea
lingering monsoons in rhyme
gathering in dreams so free
flickering shadows, I see
embracing monsoons of memories

One Winter In North Wales
The temperature dropped to -19c
I ventured out into it
Dressed like a yeti
There was no wind
Everywhere was frozen, and still
And a strange silence, as if sound had frozen
Then i remembered a science documentary
Where a scientist demonstrated in temperatures the same
As we now had in the village
Firstly throwing a cup of cold water into the air
Then watching as it fell as water to the ground
The part of this demonstration that wowed me
Was when she threw a cup of scalding hot water into the air
As it fell to the ground as snow!...
I ventured out into it
Dressed like a yeti
There was no wind
Everywhere was frozen, and still
And a strange silence, as if sound had frozen
Then i remembered a science documentary
Where a scientist demonstrated in temperatures the same

Forest of Hope
The world tipped on its axis,
and shadows danced through the trees,
as whispers turned to echoes,
and the echoes turned to pleas.
A canopy of giants,
with arms that reach and sway,
they shield all my burdens,
but cannot keep at bay,
the fire inside,
the storm brewing near,
where joy and fear collide,
in the turmoil of the year.
Leaves spiral like memories,
caught in currents of despair,
while I sift through their remnants,
searching for what’s fair.
What once felt like forever,
now a fleeting...
and shadows danced through the trees,
as whispers turned to echoes,
and the echoes turned to pleas.
A canopy of giants,
with arms that reach and sway,
they shield all my burdens,
but cannot keep at bay,

Wind in Rhyhms
Breeze me the soft wind
carrying me home
in a seance
With the blades of grass
watching them dance
in a fragrance of nature
caroling marigolds
In a seance
coming to me in rhythms
carrying me home
in a seance
With the blades of grass
watching them dance
in a fragrance of nature
caroling marigolds
In a seance
coming to me in rhythms

Spring Has Sprung
Spring Has Sprung
Jane and I lay on the yellow sandy creek beach looking at the pink glow of sunrise in the eastern sky. She reclines on her side facing me. I am supine in the sublimity of spring. We are both twenty and too old for wading in the creek. But spring has sprung and the desire to get more than our feet wet is strong. Jane’s irises are azure as glacial ice. Her complexion is that of French vanilla. Her hair is like fine corn silk which lusters in the summer sun. Her hair giggles when she walks.
At St. Catherine Creek the water appears on fire and sparkles...

avalanche
the snow
packed tightly,
hugging up
to the
mountains,
cradled within
crevices,
each storm
adds depth
and weight,
and then
it lets
go of
its hold,
then an
avalanche,
removing
any wants,
desires,
needs or
love within
the path
of its
raging
footsteps.

restless of flame
how that
sun seems
to reflect
on the
water like
bright
flowers,
its restless
of flame
discontented,
non-stopping
whimsy
purpose
and joy,
its
expressing
deep
purpose
filled
meaning.

A Doorway - with Lilliputian
Between every two trees
there is a doorway
of rhythms and beams
rustling the fallen leaves
more than the eye can know
powder puff and pollen blow
and scented hours
beneath the smiling moon
of lanterns and stars
hidden under green canopies
and sleeping sunflowers
the glowing fireflies
chanting to the alchemy
of cloaked essence below
with secrets from nights ago
veiled in tulle
forevermore dreaming to
the dusk's tunes
there is a doorway
of rhythms and beams
rustling the fallen leaves
more than the eye can know
powder puff and pollen blow
and scented hours
beneath the smiling moon
of lanterns and stars
hidden under green canopies

forevermore dreaming to
