Buds of Renewal
The buds anxiously wait to burst through
warmer, softer ground.
They sprout like a secret lacking sound.
First signs of spring and the excited joy they bring.
Accompanied by joyous melodies the birds do sing.
Robin's, dressed in their red breast, hop everywhere.
A sky saturated blue, provokes a happy hypnotic stare.
The sun's soft spring heat shines on the thick, smooth buds.
Sometimes what is fragile is at the same time tough.
And renewal of earth and heart is abundantly enough.

Stillness of Waters
Stillness of the waters
through rustling memories
and the leaves symphony
beneath the frost
awakening blankets
of sleepy time moss
in nature's serenity
through rustling memories

angry wind
while walking,
the angry
wind
caught me
by surprise,
coming
upon me
with angry
and cold
thorned
fingertips
that easily
pierced
my thin
and
unsuspecting
garments,
i huddled
my best
against her
as i was
forced
to flee
down the
sidewalk
and toward
the comfort
of my
waiting home.

incoming storm
There's a category 2 cyclone off the coast, not that far from where I am. I don't know what to think about it. I'm sure as hell not excited. My brain keeps telling me it's nothing compared to the cyclones I grew up with in Northern Australia, where thunder would shake the air so violently it could shatter glass.
I've seen trees on fire and thought they were beautiful.
I've seen my parents scramble for sand bags, only for the flood waters to stop at the edge of our veranda. I've stood at the edge of it and wished I could swim in it, just for the novelty.
I...

Into the hall of night
I'm picking flesh from the bones of day,
Staring down the last vestige,
Of hope and light.
A silhouette,
Standing beneath the murder of crows.
Listening,
Listening,
to their bequeathed murmur of flight.
To their,
Collective,
Massed caw calling,
Calling.
Calling me into the hall of night.
Staring down the last vestige,
Of hope and light.
A silhouette,
Standing beneath the murder of crows.
Listening,
Listening,

singing water
can you
hear
the water
singing
while
leaving
its mother,
there is
an
abundance
of freedom,
sometimes
she runs,
other times
she walks,
even
though
given a
chance,
she could
leave her
confined
area,,
she
chooses
to stay
in between
the
shorelines.

By a River
water splashes as it tumbles
drawn by gravity
fast and slow it sometimes rumbles
rushing to the sea
in constant motion to the ocean
gurgling flowing streams
of water molecules in motion
reflect sunlight beams -
shimmering sparkles, tantalizing,
hypnotically en-trance...
manifesting too surprising
ways with light to dance
touched by solar ray-diation
embraced electrically
created too a warm sensation
somewhere inside of me
by the river and its splashing
in the morning sun
as water...

Fonder A Care
Fonder a care of frost in the air
Embossing willow and crystal dew
Yonder where echoes fonder a care
In silent woods where copses sleep
Listening to the wrinkles of time

In silent woods where copses sleep

Curious Got Me This Far
Curious got me this far,
But conviction has done me in
Periphery sights in the fore
Can’t see what’s settling in
Give me what I came for,
And I’m out the door again.
Craving sylvan hillsides
Verdant and turbulent,
Set me down under arboreal parasols
Only glints of radiance grace the skin,
A life full of demons, I confess my sin
Here within the confluence baptized in chimerical reverence.
Jade eyes staring into the cerulean sky,
Seeking truth in nebulous phantasmagoria
Counting clouds pushed by a zephyr, ...

Hug Of A White Sky
Is their innocence ahead?
He steps outside the apartment
first blast of fresh air
from waking
The snow-crusted landscape
from last week's storm
still present
But today
the entire sky
is white
Two birds perch
on a hydro line
against that backdrop
And he notices
There is no rush to the day
Isn't it strange, he thinks
that the sky and land
should match in this way?
That one could be surrounded
so completely in white
Will it wash away the...

Lonesome Notes
Rhapsody blue eyes in shadows of lonesome notes
softly winging in the whispering breeze
Melancholia pulsing life in thoughts like a river
echoing ancestors I have known in dreams
With crow's feet on eyes and gray beard hair
over cataracts in streams and stones
Of ancient flowers, I have known
listening to nature sleeping in silent skies
Softly winging in the whispering breeze
softly winging in the whispering breeze

Of ancient flowers, I have known
