Miss understood (Part 1)
I’m not for [ everybody ]
not everyone comprehends innuendo [ here ]
In hindsight I wrote intuition in [ frustration ]
let me speak to be absolutely [ clear: ]
Don’t just listen for How in my [ words ]
listen close to What intellect is in its [ meaning ]
I don’t speak circles to [ entertain ]
I speak in Braille for the [ gleaning ]
Envision in binary patterns as felt [ repetition ]
rationalize bumps and breaks to [ devour ]

Splitting chakra checkered card
deck reveals a big Joker of hearts
Aligned to be circus clown renown in mastery

LOVE IN MY ARMS (I)(original 1st draft;1976; Poretto Jetty, Galveston, Texas; struggling with being Gay at 22 yr.s old)
love in my arms
here then gone
comes and goes
like some rare moon tide
so infrequently in my life
sunrise soon brightened
into new day
but it s clarity only added to
my ever deepening
self loathing s confusions
so i chose to stay home
until the sun had gone down
as evening eventually arrived
only a comfortable disguise
then down to the beach i walked
as night s darkness soon fell upon me
out at the end of a jetty
where upon looking back towards shore
i stared up at the seawall s...

So, you think you know her and what’s more how to fix her too. A good kick up the arse and less victim mentality would be a start.
Thing is you haven’t a clue and the times she has used triple x super glue just to hold herself in place to stand in front of you or beside you or maybe a fraction behind you.
Funny thing is when she sees you, she doesn’t look in judgment but more a secret high five in solidarity and her words are always thoughtful and considerate.
Behind a face that smiles are also ones who had to fight either demons or life and possibly their own thoughts alone...

I sit there legs crossed under the unnatural light
A cart of paint supplies at my right
My loving partner seated to my left
And across from me a lovely salesperson
Together we're chatting while she types on the computer
We are pleasantly talking about buying a washer and dryer
It's all so normal... So very normal... So fucking normal
With a smile my partner brings up the fact I'm a local
And I respond with my normal memorized lines
The boring trifecta of how from the area I am
And when with a grin she assumed which high school I went to ...

Wounds of a Clown
What will my life be if I look back on when?
On Christmas some people dress like Santa,
Some people dress like elves or other things.
They do it to entertain their happy children,
My mother used to call me her little Anna...
To share the joy that the holidays can bring.
When I went out east, I dressed like a clown,
To entertain a girl who is really just a child.
I am friends with her mother, I like that town,
And my personality is silly and mostly wild.
It was a fun time, they made me feel welcome,

Multifactorial It Is (Not All Is About Politicians)
Whine and moan, complain about politicians
the call of the day
might I politely suggest
something more at play
Yes they should be held accountable
but it is about time that we see
that they don't operate in insolation
the problem includes you and me
There are enough people who don't even vote
to tip the power anyway they seem fit
like a pitcher and catcher who don't comprehend
the baseballs are in their mitts
Officeholders are indeed components of society
they run off of money and get people to vote ...

The Sound of my Voice
Talk sounding trite, of one who stammers. Stuttering speech a teacher can't reach or alter. Excessive is the theme of repetition of words. Fumble, feeling clumsy, stupid on the spot.Falter, sputter, jabber, pause and repeat then rewind...trying to say it one more time. This is the long drawn out sound of a voice that Stutters. Twisted is the dry lips, stress is the mask one wears and beads of sweat is the workout. Yammering, jammering as the audience heards trying to follow. The whole show presents a see-saw of ups & downs. One sentence spoken takes one hour of a nightmare that clings...
