I fell for the men
who could use their hands
who could use their words
who promised to take
the chance
I'm so easily swayed
easy to please-
So appease me
with a lovely flower
on a rainy day
Use your hands to love
let me watch you play,
let your fingers strum
the song that keeps
my tears away
Use your words to charm
lead me where you may
I'll think you mean no harm
so take me anywhere,
and make me think
you'll stay
once more,
please promise me...

That couldn’t be stopped

But honest for once

Tell me how your life has been miserable and crazy
Mumble about how badly you want me back
And how you're no good ever since I left

Never had a clue
They said this would happen
That once married things would change
Never believed them
Been together to long gone through to much
Well at least i believed
Something switched in you
Starting small and slowly
Trying to gain control
Realizing that’s not going to happen
Putting up a fight
Standing my ground
Only giving me reasons to not
Pushing me to have back up plans
I won’t let you control me
