SNOW FLAKED WINDOW
AS
I slowly rise
from bed after
a restless night
of sleep I pull
the curtain back
to look out the window
to see the reward
of a new day.
THERE
scrolled in the midst
of a snow flaked window
are the words:
"I LOVE YOU."
I kiss the window
and with a smile face
a cold day with a glowing heart.

MESSAGES FROM RAINDROPS
AS
the dark clouds
hover overhead and
the drummer beats out
the tunes of thunder,
and the lightening players
keep beat with the beauty
of the moment.
IN
the midst of the beauty of
nature's concert, raindrops
dance softly in the puddles
of water,
Each drop is a contributor
to a love message from
YOU
to me. My heart aches because
YOU are far away is being filled with
memories of YOU...as I walk in
the puddles I become one with YOU
because I know it is raining where YOU are.

you don't know me but you dislike me
guess what I don't like you either
don't waste your time on me
it won't change anything
I'm dark and I'm used to being hated
blendology, I don't mix
always genuine, I am myself
a misfit of sorts, who rubs people the wrong way
guilty pleasure, you crave
sanctioned understanding, I get you
a tough guy, who won't admit you secretly like me
you stalk my perimeters afraid to come close
watching from my periphery
noting your feigned disdain
your reaction to me bothers...
guess what I don't like you either

Love Big and Small
Duck! - shouted in fear
as a dust mote collides with the wall
leaving behind an unholy din and a
microscopic crater of fractured paint
You reach out clutching a star
and set it on my brow
dining at the far end of the Milky Way
planets floating by towing banners
selling time shares on Alpha Centauri
Swimming on the ocean floor
compressed to the size of atoms
shyly dressing in electrons just to
watch street lights swim past
followed closely by very large teeth
returning home a little tired ...

WHAT I SEE AND HEAR
AS
I watch the ebb and flow
of mother nature, she speaks
to me in a thousand ways.
The chirping and playfulness
of the birds remind me of our
times in the forests counting
the pecks of the mocking birds;
inspiring soft kisses.
THE
surge of the water, out and back,
on the seashore remind me of
we always come back to the
never ending love even though
we may be separated for a while.
ALL
of nature serves us with reminders
of how blessed we are and how
the sun will shine and the butterflies
will...

a small cutaway

the dog of my life
The dog of my life
This is not an evening when one feels jubilant
When I look out of the window, I see a few cars going up and down the road till they reach the roundabout and drive back past my window
There is nothing to be surprised about in this town, dramatic car crashes happen in America
Where Hollywood is afire
When I lived in the countryside and had a dog
We walked in the forest and there were always new things to discover, often we stood still and listened to the silence, we could hear trees Coming home I lit the wood stove while the dog
