No Victim or Martyr
Never unfortunate
Circumstance goes her way
She gotta bounce off hate
to keep on loving through the day
But then came a land mine
As if that wasn't enough
then came the black hounds
And then the caroling mob sang this to me;
"Try the little woman as a witch
Don't you wait up for a verdict
Get the fags bundled for the break of dawn
This one is as guilty as it gets"
She says to you and to me
I'm no martyr victim here
Don't wait up for my verdict
I plan to get up and flee
Yeah, I'm getting...

Bob Chasing Dragons in the Park
In every city in the world
You’ll find them there
Chasing dragons in the parks
Faces gaunt’ jaws open ‘never shut'
Dim emotionless eyes take turns to blink
Among these Zombies of the poppies
You might find a friend of mine
Or a faded copy of the original
Blowing across the grimy concrete
Like a dry leaf before the first snow
Living out his life in the twilight
As minds slowly detach from bodies
Desires for love and sex dry up
Till they no longer can fuck
Lethargic bowels become arthritic

A comfortable pain

I love you,
and you love me,
but its a twisted love between us three.
If love is fire ,
then your my flame,
but still another love remains.
Your presence doesn't bring you close to me,
my choice is to let you be.
You were once my sweet escape,
and now you showed me how to hate.

knowing that the truth remains,
that your other love had you from the gate.

Alcoholism is an irredeemable illness
often compared with diabetes which is also incurable
however, with diabetes, it is possible to reduce it by
taking insulin and avoiding certain foods.
However, you can't cure intemperance by drinking beer!

tried to get him to go to AA.

since his wife had died of cancer, which turned

the day I refused a drink
The day I refused
I was joining an old ship like old ships they have been
around the oceans a few times
and survived because they were built to ride the waves
They gave me a cabin smaller than a wardrobe
I had to go out into the hall to change clothes.
The bathroom had a shower that only gave salt water
I mean cold water from the sea
The captain tried to make me drunk
filling a glass with gin topping it with tonic as I have said before
I dislike gin.
The captain fell asleep I walked back on dry land
someone on the deck shouted...
