They say that what's in the darkness eventually, it's seen through the lights of day, for sure it holds true when things, in a relationship starts to feel different with no emotions or love 🤨 For the deepness of what love was, it wasn't no more, than empty moments of what is gone between two people once in love. Poetry died
the day you left me:
you robbed me of
all my beautiful words
and lavished them
on some pretty girl.
You decorated her
with the stolen verses
that my heart
had sung for you.
Now all I do is paint-
paint myself with tears;
even the color is pale-
artless work on a broken canvas.
Why don't you take away
my pearly tear drops:
string them together
to make a choker;
a souvenir-
to gift her
when you choke her heart too!

As long as you can make sense of the things, that have silently appeared in your life and world, 🌎 that has been affecting your own thoughts and insight and mind. rusted memories
rusted memories
jabbed my heart:
my soul's turning sepsis
gradually it will rot
oozing odour of toxicity
which has already started
paralyzing me,
my senses are going numb;
lockjaw of mind-
cant' enunciate feelings.
hurry, inject me a shot!
jab me with sanity,
eliminate the microbial apparitions
of my infected past
haunting the catacombs
in my mental cavern;
exhume his
ungodly touch,
vandalize graves
of his lies,
exorcise!

of his remains ...

Im sick with knowing that its been me
I am the one who has brought this woman to her knees
Who has stripped all happiness from her eyes
Who offered this body up on a platter
to vicious men who didnt know how to even love themselves
much less care enough to handle her gently
And it was love
All along it was always love that she was in pursuit after
Forever searching losing pieces of herself along the way

Embarrassed to Admit That
I broke one of my cardinal rules
I looked up one of my exes
What I saw upon her profile popping up
Is that she has achieved everything she has ever wanted
More especially everything we once spoke about
In that moment I felt happy for her
However I felt equally as embarrassed
I felt embarrassed by my own life
My end of the bargain had never been achieved
I'm no closer to my dreams today
Than when I was when I was with her
I felt embarrassed to think about
If the roles were reversed my own story
Would fill her with relief ...

i whisper words of love
but they slip off you
like frayed silk
my playful fingers pry
like a flittering butterfly
but you repulse
as some slimy earthworm's
wriggling on your skin
my smile...oh that smile-
you called it sunflower;
now casts shadow on your face
you have a sweet tooth-
and told me once
