A Solitary Daisy
Planted along a worn rickety fence
In the front yard of a paint peeled white house
Stands a solitary daisy
Among blades of grass taller than she
A waft of her feint cheerful scent
Carried by the warm summer morning breeze
Brushes past me as I bend to bend to pick her
I am amazed at the simplicity she radiates
Graceful, dainty petals swaying
Strong, rooted stem giving way
I tenderly place her in my long, curly fire hair
Humbled by her innocence
I seemingly become to be as...

Hydrangeas
She was a good wife
Married for over 40 years
She was warm, considerate and always willing & able to help someone
Her talent was making beautiful, colorful gardens all around her property
She also donated her time to the arboretum
This year things have been different for her
She was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer
Her ability to work on the yard and create beautiful, majestic gardens have been impossible
She's very ill
She can't maneuver like she use to
Her husband doesn't have a green thumb
For the 1st time in over 40 years,...

my garden lover
my sorrow builds inside me
it's a lovely day and I can't get the rhythm of it
mother nature blushes at my thoughts on love
seeking to touch her bliss
I disturb the spirits resting on the wind
an invitation is desired
I want to come in
to covort on the air
a green display with blues overhead
matches my moodiness
the trees are solemn
they gossip about me,
standing in the garden looking forlorn
little tree has lost her leaves, they whisper
shaken in the cold
while the eyes of angels peer...

False Flower
I was once a beautiful flower
Bursting with life
Petal were strong
Demanding all of you to keep me in your sight
Then one day, out of the blue
Another flower blooms
Right next to me, know who
I was in her shadow
I could not be seen
“Hey, I was here first.”
Why are you so mean?
Then a frost came
And she slowly started to go down
Why did it not affect me?
Why do I wear this frown?
She looked at me and with her last breath
Because we knew she was so close to death
“Do not be sad, you were...

THE MOST BEAUTIFUL BLESSING
From the deepness of my thoughts and insight of my mind thoughts. 🤔 As I take this walk through the door way of the truth, that lingers in the deep dark deepness of my mind of memories never to be ever forgotten. 🤔 For as I continue to take this walk, I become free to be able to enjoy, this journey of no space or time. ⌚ For I noticed a statue surrounded by beautiful colors of flowers, yet there was an aura about this real moment of tranquility. For it is here and now, I can relate to this magical garden of paradise, with it's crystal clear waters shine still off the...

Lunaria!
Sweet night air, and long shadow moon,
and northeast bound mystery drone...
does sleep for you come none too soon
in summer darkness...all alone?
To your silence crickets salute
when moonbeams on dry seed pods glow
and lonely owls are heard to hoot
to all the deadpan weeds below.
Lunaria! Now in decline!
Oh how translucent are your pods!
How like angel haloes divine
or gossamer doubloons of the gods!
They pay the way for next year's crop...
when the savage skies of winter drop.

It's my Jefferson Airplane life
We're rounding the corner of 79th Street
Onyx and I
Making sure the coast is clear
She doesn't like busses
A bus stop is there
I could avoid the stop but...
She needs to get used to them
They're everywhere here
She's getting better
This isn't small town Texas
An adopted hound
We've had her close to 4 months now
It's early morning
Wind is calm and not as cold as usual
I'm thinking about poetry and DUP
All that it takes to write here now
Latest chapter is bots and privacy
Then I see some...

Daffodils
we could count
daisies, daffodils
and dandelions
You and me
track the flight
of the ladybugs
bumble bees
& butterflies
dance in the
dunes in june
lie on the grass
and talk for hours
& as we go to sleep
we can count the stars
