Zero Isle
I was in the woods today
Not really the woods
But a big park
Where you can lose yourself in the ash trees and the vines
The light flickering in the daytime heat
Lost in the thicket;
And have a row of houses within view.
The orange bell-flowers all clustered together
a little too bright for me to see them well
My eyes take in all the white parts of the leaves
The parts that suck in the sun in the light
And I come across a dead tree next to the trail
And inside its hull is so very dark ...

GALAXIES FAR AWAY
What is it about darkness that draws us so deeply within the depth of the atmosphere, as it grabs at the very core of your subconsciousness creating subliminal messages. Rushing through the stairway and gateways of our mind, yet creating illusions that seem to reach back at you as you reach out to touch. For what is it about darkness that scares you the most, gripping and pulling at the very core of your spiritual connection to your soul. Slowly altering the depth of your thoughts taking you upon a journey through, the endless galaxy of no space where time doesn't even exist just outer layer...

When a Woman's Heart Reads Through
In a world of scattered books,
I must say your clean cut pages caught me in the throat.
—Torn edges cut sharp by razors edge.
Paper cut kisses leave me with cherry red ecstasy on my tongue.
Your pages wrap me in a cocoon
As your dark truths leap at me
From corners you've folded to hide from view.
Your fairytale lies coat your story so silkily
Like concubine legs in a royal bed.
Such a soldier in your battle worn armor!
You speed off into the night carrying your burdens
Weighing heavier than all the mail in the world. ...

Happily ever after
When last we heard of Jack and Kate,
Abandoned in a ravaged state,
Misused, abused, completely spent,
All decorum, gone, absent,
While the wanton wicked fairy queen,
With her booty, fled the scene,
The precious treasure that she stole,
A tiny fragment of theirs souls,
A piece of soul is all one needs,
For magic mischief and dark deeds,
So with her prize the fairy queen,
Hatched a plan, perverse, obscene,
Brimming with debauched delight,
She drew on the power of the night,
She cast a spell to overwhelm,
And...

Once upon a time
Once upon a time,
When storytellers spoke in rhymes,
When giants roamed and dragons flew,
Knights were bold and charming too,
Maidens all were chaste and pure,
And magic spells could curse or cure,
In this realm of thought and dreams,
Lurks the wicked fairy queen.
Jack led a rather mundane life,
Accountant, with a teacher wife,
New house, alas no children yet,
A Labrador, their only pet,
In younger days, when sun went down,
They would hang about the town,
But tonight they watched Netflix instead,
Then retired,...

Leprechaun.
Walking around on an unknown path,
I cannot deny that I’m lost.
When sitting on a thistle with a silly little whistle,
A leprechaun sat with his pot.
I said to the chap in a little red cap,
Does he know where the hell that I was,
When he looked up at me,
And he said simply,
“A diddle, a diddle daddle dot.”
“What!” I replied in a cacophonous cry,
“Can you say that again only not,
In that dibble dabble lot,
Of unattainable tot,
And reply to my question...

The Fairy’s Thoughts
Was it hard?” I asked
She looked at me with glassy eyes, and told me stories of her time with him, and others.
“Emotional anchors.. they work for a while.”
I nodded.
“Those ties between feelings and memories are powerful” she reassured me.
“I’d like to think I was that person to somebody. An anchor for them to clench when life takes an unpredicented nosedive..”
I smiled.
“But in that same way, I wonder if they see the powder on their fingertips, from where they touched my wings.”
I blinked. She smiled.

A Lepera’con
For drink,” quipped an elfish man, “A story of an emerald land.
There be a tale of a moon lit night where I bestowed quite a sight.
Stirred restless from stolen dreams drifted music from a place unseen.
All around twas a heat from a chorus of sounds and rhythmic beat.
Not covered in dress I went as born out before the early morn.
Where those of only nature dwell far from the place I know so well.
Closer I came the more it grew my soul possessed its will withdrew.
Well hid behind a fallen tree beheld a soul-fleshed fantasy.

Perdition Unto Disposition
This perdition is coming to terms
with itself, by itself, for itself, with the lines and narrows
of the production debt seeping through the chinks
in the walls
( what) which we
protect the assets
of our "betters" from
their own matters.
Walking walking all the way it has to be it has to...

Short Shot Shuddered
Short Shot Shuddered*
eyes seeped'n acme
cussing Cupid's breach;
bounty bow blushed
callous crest cupped
felon feelings fostered
rustic reels registered
short shot shuddered
smirking strength smoldered
mystic emotions murdered
saucy bash squashed
torrent's taunted trash
coursing kleptomaniac crash
twain tuning melody
thrown desires dancing.

~Note~ The Greek believed that Cupid, the god love, sent unseen arrows from the eyes of one person into the heart of another.
