A Distorted History Of Dance!
I was reminiscing one night
At myself, in my early thirties
And an assortment of work colleagues
On a night out
Eventually finding ourselves in a nightclub
I wasn't someone that boogied regularly
But i did have a hidden dance move
So when the right sort of tune was played
I entered the arena of the dance floor
And began to cossack!
I was unexpectedly applauded!
Anyway, quintessential to cossacking
Are strong legs, and good balance
I can't cossack now, but still test my crouching skills ...

Everything - poses, gestures, glance ...
A partner whose hands (words) are gentle -
but confidently command, lead, want ...
Passion in everything, and temptation,
And two people dance
The tango rhythm, like an obsession,
And a prayer for things to follow
The clatter of heels and a proud look,
And a step forward and a step back
Interlacing of feet and hands
Oh how passionate hearts clatter
And calesita, and corte,
and boleo, and amage!

Jam Pants
I have much love for supermoons
And all their moonbeam gold
Which I would wear like pantaloons...
If I were not so old.
Gold pantaloons would make the man,
If any garment could,
Since ladies couldn't help but scan
For pantaloon gold wood...
Straining all the pantaloon seams
Like man wood always does
Or like the gold in lunar beams
And light years with a buzz...
Going the distance like the streams
Of brilliance from the moon
Illuminating all the dreams...
Of garments to lampoon!
And all their moonbeam gold
Which I would wear like pantaloons...
If I were not so old.
