Cemetery
Practically everyday I walk through my local cemetery
Peaceful, tranquil, relaxing and time stands still
I have respect when entering
I always remember not to point at a grave, it will make your finger rot
Also, do not count the cars in a funeral procession,
for the amount of cars you count, will be the day that you perish sometime during that year
As I heard these superstitions from my elders, I never dared to explore these wise tales
One day as I awoke from my restful sleep, I began shivering uncontrollably
I just could not shake this feeling ...

WHEN DARKNESS CALLS

Yzybyl the witch
The bitch,
Is a cunning stunning sorceress and a mischievous girl,
She’d put spells in which
You’d itch
To fall in love with her like she’s the only one in the world.
But Yzybyl the witch
Would switch
And make you do things you’d never thought of or done before,
You’d find yourself bewitched
No hitch,
Because her plan was to always have you come back for more.
And Yzybyl the witch
Would stitch
Button eyes on voodoo dolls without balls to make you do her bidding,
Suddenly you’d twitch ...

Book review: A Marvellous Light, by Freya Marske
Okay, so I don't normally do book reviews, actually I don't do them at all. I just sometimes think about what I would say if someone asked about what I'm reading. No one ever asks.
This book almost demands a review, or something. I have read it three times in the last four days, which I never do.
With most books I enjoy, I read it, savour it, analyze it, and then stick it on a shelf for the next time I'm in the mood for it. I think I can name ever book I have read and reread, and held onto for the precious story it is. This is one of those books, only moreso.
