Who Is Holding The String
What sets me off are effing scabs that fester, picking resin from their nose to play their splintered violins as if Mantovani were their audience. But, who is holding the string? Choking in their bottle's anxiety a shadow of bereavement suffering the bird of twilight gnawing at the cuttlebone beguiling the grave's picket fence. Knitting a narcissistic bellwether to lead the hungering herd without a clue, jumping through hoops just to get a piece of the falling sky. Hubris leaves a nasty taste of arrogance and swarming locusts. Choking in their bottles anxiety oaring on the River Styx. But,...

Bowing Unto The Divine Grace Of Black Sabbath
No Tarot Reading On The Sabbath Day
Shabbat/Saturday
Roman God of wealth, agriculture, and time
The Roman God associated with wealth, agriculture, and time is Saturn. Saturn is a complex deity who was revered as the god of sowing and seed, as well as the god of time, often depicted holding a sickle or scythe. The planet Saturn, which rules Saturday, is named after this powerful God.
The Hebrew word for Saturday is Shabbat (שבת), which means “rest” or “cessation.” Shabbat is a significant day in Jewish tradition, observed...

Neighbors
We fucked ourselves
screwed the pooch
prayed to the god of money
showered us with love and praise
in the land of milk and honey
we waited and we waited
for the money to fall
from a sky of amber waves
thought dancing with the devil
would get us what we need
the walls been breached
your souls been sold
for gold and rotted seed
i look to my neighbor
think to myself
does he bleed like i bleed
shame on you shame on me
maybe its time for shame to leave
it's my neighbor again
he's bust through the door ...

Wrong from the Start
(or "The Beast System Blues")
Wrong from the start
slow roads through this
brokenhearted
asphalt flower
business
strayed from the pack
into bits of byway passing
the gloomy pine
of a much maligned
interstate split
an eminent domain
for crooks & culvert-crawling
philistines and misanthropic desires
to decimate this boom car parking lot hole
with an off-the-grid wandering
a sprat-covered heath
for bulldozer sprawling
mortality &...

"Light...Hovers"
"Light...Hovers"
Light...hovers.
An obtuse rectangle in the sky.
People crane back their heads,
looking, wondering, maybe even weeping.
Some asking, waiting for a reply.
Light...hovers.
Twisting...turning...melding.
A different shape to all who choose to view.
Ingrained into the deepest self.
What could, what should, what did/I didn't do?
I look in consternation.
Images shaping for me high above.
I see the past as I have learned,
lessons strangled by said glove.

Pretty Little Box
why is everyone
so wrapped up
in pink and blue boxes?
walking around with fake smiles
they're bionic
pre-programmed with what to do and say
complementing one another
though they don't even like each other
staying in relationships
having partners they don't really know
and baking cookies
for kids
they never really wanted
I see that invisible tear
through a phony baloney expression
guess I get it
can't turn back time
to when the condom broke
I'm built differently though
maybe too...

If Only
If only every child
Had someone at their side who
Listened to them attentively
Took them seriously
Believed in their potential
Encouraged them
Always had their back and
Loved them unconditionally
This world would be a better place

Our Host Wants Us All To Have Fun
You
need to
take your clothes
off before you
join this party. Our
host wants us all to have
fun in a really big
way. I could tell by the bump in
your pants that you're ready to join in
on the fun. So, are you going to strip?
