While I can't draw maps,
let's imagine an alternate world where
Paraguay, Angola and Romania share borders.
Picture a landmass reshaped
by a mystical force, bringing together
diverse landscapes and cultures.
Angola's western coastline,
with its rich African heritage,
now meets the vibrant heart
of South America's Paraguay.
Together, they are connected
to Romania, bringing in the charm
of Eastern Europe.
This fictional world creates
a tapestry of unique traditions,
languages and histories...

Dating is Dated (or should be)
Much like kindergarten
prepares children for childhood
the 1950s model of dating
prepared young men and women for their adult roles.
In the old days
the man was the provider
so he paid on dates.
The woman took great care with her appearance,
a crucial part of her role.
Sometimes the man ordered for the woman in restaurants
without even consulting her.
I wouldn't have survived.
"The lady will have the salmon"
"Eww! I will not. I HATE fish!"
That would have...

Tea Leaves & Butterfly Wings
This present moment -
A protrusion,
From dimension to dimension,
Broadcasted onto a televised projection,
Sometimes seemingly
Beyond belief,
To some -
Oblivious
To others,
Nevertheless
Continuing to progress
Like prophecy
At least
In appearance,
Or,
Something
Unavoidable & predictable
At the very least,
In
Hindsight.
The chaos makes sense
At a future moment
In time -
To some,
And then to all.
But then -
To others, ...

Imagine
It’s not a given
that we’ll come out of this
better people than we were.
But…
like many,
I imagine
and have my moments of excitement…
Hope for a new way of living gently
of caring more deeply
of connecting more authentically…
Maybe….
our entire system will transform
businesses will stop the constant growth rat-race
religions will return to loving and serving
governments will care for the most vulnerable
people will know and cherish their neighbours…
Imagine all the people…
We’ll all...
that we’ll come out of this
better people than we were.
But…
like many,
I imagine
and have my moments of excitement…
Hope for a new way of living gently

Bat wings emerge
From the heart's aortas
Caged inside a red rose
Metallic skeletal frame
Busting out of the box
A Pandora Aurora
Of sweeping blue green
Blazing fiery flames
Flying with the flow
Soaring high diving low

Into the Babylon night

Who Is Holding The String
What sets me off are effing scabs that fester, picking resin from their nose to play their splintered violins as if Mantovani were their audience. But, who is holding the string? Choking in their bottle's anxiety a shadow of bereavement suffering the bird of twilight gnawing at the cuttlebone beguiling the grave's picket fence. Knitting a narcissistic bellwether to lead the hungering herd without a clue, jumping through hoops just to get a piece of the falling sky.
