The Importance of the Right Woman
Thoughts of you, woman,
stir love in your man's soul
Memories of your presence bring forth feelings
Powerful,
Bold
There is a fire burning inside your man
which keeps him moving ever forward
A God-given imperative to profess, provide, and protect
It is your presence in his life
which gives focus to his method
And gives reason to his madness
It is what you do
and who you are
that bring peace in the heart of this man
Doing what comes natural to you is the cure for what ails him ...

life lived
The life lived
I live next door to a street lamp
full moon every night
On an enormous heavenly canvas
A Lone Star shine
the rest have turned their back on earth
light up a galaxy
that is not of my concern.
When I watch an ad for Martini Blanca
on TV fine, by me
I need not be smart, in a bar.
I pity the star
it must be cold up there.
I wave, it blinks back, and fireflies dance.

why is it that we who have no connection
with those who have the power of what
gets heard and published.
Today, we drove from Cascais to Lisbon
a drive that usually took half an hour
it took an hour more because of modern time
had upset the calculation
a modern society is measured by how many
cars are on the road at the same time
we who sit at home are in the news reminded
of this by those who call this progress
after this profound observation, the rest is
pointless history is eaten by false history
...

Six feet under
Not a good start
Certainely not a good one.
Didn’t end well too.
But it’s fine
I loved the moments with you.
Even if they were not made with me,
She was here before me.
she’s pretty, smart and kind too
if one of dies, i hope it’s me
coz i dont wanna be here without you.
Maybe that’s my core.
Making my life about someone else.
Darling, still remember,
even if I’m six feet under,
I’d listen to you talk about your day.
Certainely not a good one.
