the room
The Room
Many hospitals have a room away from the daily hustle and bustle of accidents and ill health
A room that has comfortable deep chairs, where the light is not bright, nor is too hot or too cold, staffed by top professional nurses
Here they can come, those with chronic pain
And those who cannot be cured, can sit pain-free for some hours, and sink into a mild euphoria
This room has no place for religion or fear
of Darkness, a blessed room for those modern medicine can do no more

The sight of this pretty little girl swinging
It's Simple pendulum
My bicycle bell jingles
Look up, don't cry,.
Giggle a little,

Don't turn or look back we have got enough problems

The Pulsing Cursor
The pulsing cursor stares right back at me
Blinking it seems for hours on end
But I stare right back it, contemplating
If I should go back to paper and pen
“Write the damn thing”
The voices in my head say over and over again
In my dreams, in posts, even in aspiring quotes
Pushing me toward that dream I once dreamt
And of course, I know that to write at such length
Like several marathons it will be very exhausting
Feeling like an epic warrior after that first draft
But then revisions would seem to be so daunting

The last bus
This is a day for us losers, no this is not about the climate, from my window it looks like doing well, a dollop of sun there and a splash of rain there, it is no asking for anyone’s permission
With losers, I mean us who have managed to get old, but living wildly and not going for longevity
This makes us miserable because we have nothing to look back on and say, sure I did that
It is not that we didn’t try to make a mark, but
Booze and women got in the way, conquest
a whore in every port
Some of us tried to make a mark by scribbling

Insanity a la carte
Glimmering beneath a sheen,
where shadows dance in whispers, unseen.
Veiled chaos, finely painted dreams,
in the cracks madness gleams.
Fragile echoes in twilight's embrace,
haunting glimpses of a fractured face.
Silent screams, behind polished walls,
in the stillness a storm calls.

Fake reviews
In 1963, I ate lunch at Andrea’s café,
her food was wonderful
I advised mariners to go for a visit
and be welcomed by a true lady.
I now learned that unsolicited reviews
are no longer appreciated
My recommendation was delivered verbally
Andrea doesn’t know she is a grandmother and
One of her grandchildren runs the place
I once ran a café in Liverpool selling bacon butties
I could have done with the friendly review
From the people who worked at the small factories nearby
but when Margaret Thatcher ...

What happened to Sweden throwing off her neutrality like it was an old overcoat and to make matters worse joining old NATO, that is a moribund military organization.

A problem when a person meets someone
seriously, they lose their logical sense when
the rich person speaks to them or smile
They are ready to agree that the person says
is the truth, if we accept what he says
He makes mundane of going to Mars
we know his timeline is wrong
but what the heck, he foots the bill
I think of Elon Musk, who has become
the new Shreck role Putin had
But it didn’t sit well as old Putin looked cultural
Wear a nice tie and is a dog lover
