captivating

in their depths

mysterious allure

Brass Ring
You there on the carousel
never believing in the brass ring
I only wanted the best for you
and that just wasn't me
My angel since the second grade
so gentle and soft spoken
always chose the harshest men
that left you bruised and broken
It has been thirty years
since last I saw your face
that never really bothers me
my heart still holds your place
So as you spin around a world
never including me
I will always love you
sincerely, your brass ring
never believing in the brass ring
I only wanted the best for you
and that just wasn't me

when looking
in ocean blue eyes
want to drink thirstly waters
beyond my fill
yearning
like a lost puppy
inside doing actobatics
feeling akwardly
teenage again

sleep evades

The heart of love
The heart of love
Can you not see? How I yearn for you.
My heart leaps into my mouth when you walk by,
the fires of passion burn under my skin,
The color drains from my face,
My heart beats so fast I feel I will explode.
Of course, you cannot see,
For I am silent, not daring to speak,
For fear of rejection, of ridicule.
I am unnoticed by you,
I meld with the background imagery,
Not really here.
How can they find it so easy?
These other men flirt and tease you,
And you, you flirt and tease back!
But...
Can you not see? How I yearn for you.

its only words
say it and let it out
it wont carve into stones
lamentations of love unrequited
don't speak out your thoughts
don't bother to say sorry
your vows had been snapped
cut by both of you
your new love
the one that sprang
from old wishing well
in your almost dry feelings
to you she is a fresh bloom
sprouting from the soil
of your turbulent emotion
deep down in your soul
hold on to love
embrace it close
its your lifeline

Nobody Cares, Love
just be where you are
nothing is waiting for you
in any other places, anyway
anything you have is from what you do
no one will play your mirror
no conscience voice at the corridor
telling you right from wrong
its all just you, everything
don't believe anybody is interested
in the affairs of your heart
no one cares if you laughed or cry
or if you've been hung out to dry
they laugh and joke
oh look at the old slowpoke
crying for a love in his winter
'death beckons, ready to wither'
so stay...

Of being a beautiful design
In my heart there’s a revival
An awakening to the reality of you
I’m ignited I’m excited
I see you as divine
But maybe there’s something underneath
That attracts me more
It’s the danger of the unknown
Of finding the secret you
You can’t be that fragile
Cause you have a body built to sin
Would you sin with me
Our fires could meet

Gotta get my emotions in check
Disengage and self reflect
It's always the same pattern
Too attached too quickly
Turned on by that sweet rejection
Fluttering emotions trapped in my skull
Truly stuck in the mantra of
"Get over it; he don't want you"
I'm trapped in this self harm loop
Listing all the reason I can't be loved
I'm addicted to that unrequited love
Crushing on people who can't return it
It's all the same... It's a safety thing
They can't hurt you if they've promised nothing
