inside the greed rise
shelter in the need
fill the void where you can

in the promises grow
with an intellect so keen
direct your business
be yourself above all else

dangerous affairs of the heart lurk
don't get dragged under
resist kissing the devil
who in rugged blue jeans looks so good
be good to you

As I continue to stand and tolerate the treatments of society, I have to be able to decide that my own decisions are not an option, but more of a trust issue with society. As so many here I have been on a journey.
A journey to learn and improve my style of writing
The problem is I am starting to lose Fia.
That is not acceptable.
So, I was asked who I am
I AM FIA
I am raw when I want to be
I am sweet when I want to be
I can be an annoyance at times, but I catch myself and pull back
I am a natural encourager/ You need that push I will push soft or you need it hard well I do that too
I am not all dark
I am not all light

Deeper Underground I Go
I can’t count the number
of poems I’ve expelled
beyond the busted seams
of experience
As if those seams could keep
the poems from my voice
How many emotions
were galactic tapestries
unraveling from a solar plexus
storing so many lives
How many verses reflect
the present
versus the ghosts
of a former century
And yet,
deeper underground
I go
The trick to navigating
the bowels of the beast
is not succumbing
to illusion over...
of poems I’ve expelled
