Many of us have heard this saying. Maybe as a taunt or a way for parents to get you to stop eating Cheeto puffs.
But how could I possibly turn into a pumpkin pie if I ate three slices of it?
I think it is more than this. A recent rom-com I read described the main female character wanting to just eat up the face of her boyfriend. This may seem unrelated and cliche, but is realistic for the way one feels when they feel so much love for one thing. A similar situation occurs when one's grandparent pinches your cheeks and says, "I could just gobble you up whole!" They don't mean...

My favorite holiday, and now it’s hers.
For Tig, her first, that cutest pixie mime:
A wish - to be like Mom, my little girl’s.
I’ve shown what Halloween is all about.
We’re in a Target at the costume racks,
To choose the one to wear when we go out

I Hate George Clooney
I hate George Clooney, he’s so stereotypical,
I hate him more than I hate Paris Hilton;
She’s easy to hate ‘cause she’s so flagrantly dumb,
A good laugh is the only thing she can merit,
But whatever he wears, all of America’ll wear it.
I hate George Clooney, he’s so beloved,
With his charming smile and winking eyes,
A man of the sun, admired by all –
A dead soul proponing the cult of disguise.
They carefully crafted him to be carelessly perfect
So that he could retain a long-lasting sway
