A child's fragile frame, curled tight on the ground,
Silent cries echo, but make no sound.
A vulture waits, patient, cold, and near,
In the heart of despair, death hovers here.
Empty bellies, hollow eyes, too weak to fight,
Life fades slowly under fading light.
The world looks on through a captured lens,
Yet their hunger, their pain—when does it end?

Buyer's Remorse
When the candidate that you voted for has major flaws
they can't be returned via the lemon laws
Even if you have justifiable cause
life is not a VR game that you can reset or put on pause
MAGA supporters are now about their choice excited
but unfortunately to Thanksgiving dinner are now being uninvited
ICE for some will be their newest escort
and for their whole family they will deport
Should they put up a fight-on their throat they will place a knee
and get away with it bc they will have...

Property Rights
Behavior marks us all as good or bad
with dissension evermore in the ranks
of any milieu that we've ever had
from the front lines to the national banks
with most of us opting for something nice
to showcase our variety of thought
and by considerations twice and thrice
we see common ground as a tiny plot
which serves the public as a litmus test
to show who is greedy and who is not
in the melee to see just what is best
in the public policies that we've got
and thereby we know that to privatize ...

In the free land and home of bravery
they voted against both at every chance
as they demonstrated knavery
at each legislative circumstance
to block all working class opportunity
since they only want commoners to work;
as evident by importunity
and their condescension truly berserk.

When you don't know what's objectively good
it means that you are as dumb as a post
or that your thinking is probably toast
and of no value to your neighborhood.
Fact and fiction are two different things
and it's your responsibility to know
about what makes a nation ebb and flow

Starlink Serfage
We can constellate the founding fathers
much like the Greeks did with their dying gods
and pulverize their Mount Rushmore facades
into some rubble that no more bothers
the vespering spirits of yesteryear...
now replaced by apocalypse horsemen
grinding axes like a million Norsemen
extoling a scornful billionaire's sneer.
Sing no more of those noble intentions
that now are just as Polybius...dead...
and as badly drained as Cicero's head,
or Edison's corpse of new inventions
when monopolies know and...

Bonfire Night is an ironic thing
at 400 years after the event
where a Gunpowder Plot had killed no king
and sabotage became Guido's lament
as the people had made it very clear
that a disruption to the status quo
based on violence and subsequent fear

into the ordinary lives
of Palestine,
