You were walking across the lake.
Drinking coffee,half awake.
And you stumble upon a cave.
You think to yourself,is it dangerous?
Does it have a grizzly bear?
Or maybe,a nymph that is fair?
The wind then gently blows into your hair.
And you give the cave a curious stare.
Your fear,you now decided to bear.
And you carefully walked into there.
At first look,you didn't see much.
Then,you spot piles of gold.
On the corners of the cave,mold.
""This is dangerous!"",you were told.
But...

It was in the year 18—— that my friend Dupin and I set sail to London to stay with a sponsor for whom Dupin had rendered a most invaluable service when they were caught in a “cooping” incident, a most disreputable practice whereby a man is plied with drink and then forced to visit polling stations to vote for his assailants’ chosen candidate. The sponsor was a wealthy but naive young dandy from New York, visiting New Orleans just as Dupin had also gone to sample the local culture for a piece to be published in Blackwood’s....
