Unseen Plagues
What's left to say when it's all been said and done
I've got answers to give that I'm learning to live
But the question remains if I'm good for anyone
Lost for nothing new that blooms beneath the sun
Sore sights for strained eyes seeking a greater sense of vision
Lost if I stand still so I move forward with indecision
Living life much like I write, waiting for the theme to come into focus
Plagues unseen, something inside of me
The fog of a swarm of locusts
I am weighed of both my potential to build or destroy
Authoring divided...

Golgotha’s Hill
Breaking bread on the last night to say farewell
A King descended from on high to be brought into the depths of hell
For the love of a world that from paradise fell
Savior pendant to the cross, wedges in wrist bearing the nail
Reflecting once again on the sacrifice of Emmanuel
And on your last night you washed my feet just before betrayal
Lips pursed to cheek, a kiss like a knife in the back
Taking on the stripes as thorn penetrates the brow
Grace given for everything that I lack
Even in my words to speak of this blood washed vow ...

Everything Under The Sun
Born into this journey
Set in motion by how we were raised
In the process of development
Every touch sets the degree
Leaving all that was behind
Learning from the past in the present
Making my way towards the future me
Shaped as I am
In the mold of the trajectory
Pivotal moments
Significance is intercepting me
Near life or death experiences
In the scope of the thrill and the pain
Everything under the sun
Every ray of light transcends the rain
Nothing is broken that has been redeemed

The Plains Of Megiddo.
As the sun turns blood Red in a dark empty sky,
On the plains of Megiddo 4 horsemen ride by,
Of biblical proportions, much blood to be spilled,
Revelations played out and prophecies fulfilled,
Then along the horizon God's angels I seen,.
As mankind wished that somehow the slate they could clean,
But the Earth's being flooded by the tears angel's cried,
As the dead and the living they stand side by side,
As the falsest of prophets does rise from the East,
And he carries three sixes, the mark of the beast,
And the rivers run Red with the blood...

Err On The Side of Truth
Is this just bias informed of my favored point of view?
Arriving at the same conclusions even as I consider what it's like to be you
Vouching for the politics that markets the scheme made of partial virtue
As we frame the scope of love to say what is false and what is true
Being right is overrated when I'd be wrong for the sake of telling the truth
As we lay our pride on the altar of self sacrifice and biases are damned for proof
Call it what you will when faith is the lens through which I reason
And should I speak too honest for comfort then I'm in...

Buzz Kill Resurrection
Marketing thoughts for penny’s
To sell my heart
How do I make a living
When poetry is a dying art
Though in truth it seems it never was alive
When you need a spoonful of sugar melodies to sell what you want to say
Meandering in black and white as all things fade to gray
Audience to the message
Lies sell but controversy is censored when it tells too true
Truth crucified at the altar of selling out to the world view
Cater to damnation as we make ourselves comfortable in hell
No one wants to say the quiet parts...

Minefield Hearts
Is rough around the edges just a way to disguise what I can’t stand about me?
Work in progress disclaimers to selfishness in tendency
Proclaiming truth all the while still coming to terms with my identity
My best foot forward hides the parts that I don’t want to be
Till I put my worst foot in my mouth and the colors show
But they paint my heart untrue
When I’m still learning to walk in light of my worth
Is the mess I make of me but the mess I make of You?

God’s Kin
Onlookers gathered around
Audience in the moment of grief
Commemorated endearments attempt to comfort
Yet I still stare in disbelief
Knowing this is all a part of life in this temporal place
Even so it doesn’t take the sting from my heart yearning for embrace
Company to the absence
My madness is what I know
Better advice given than lived by
When I’m lost for holding on and learning to let go
Everyone says don’t live thinking of the weight of yesterday
But this memory lingers on and I feel the sorrow still, always, in...

Ascension
I walked on the vast plateau the everlasting wind of time
had blown away, the sand exposed millions of skeletons
and the memory of man wench the brain was walnut-sized.
The brain is larger now, filled with images of pornography
and wars on many fronts.
I came to an oasis I must drink or explode into atoms
but the water was full of coagulated blood.
I walked on crushing rib cages gleaming in the moonlight.
A vast iceberg blocked my way, sparkled like a diamond
decorated with religious promises of salvation.
I had to climb...

Hallelujah to A Brand New Year!
I look out the window and what do I see?
A cold and wetness that falls on the earth
Time has gone by, creating a change in me.
A change that was long ago ordained
For me to seek his face and continue to run
To be steadfast, I have remained.
Sadness and disease, goes on and on
Empathy present in an everyday eye
Still God has changed me day by day, one on one.
Thankful for His mercy and his love
Trying to be kind and not to judge
Still watching the coldness falling from above.
