Ashtray Halo

(comp poem)

If yesterday had been bleached deep mahogany with bodied tears and ashtray halo retributions

Maybe the dope angels would've receded from their barbed wire grips

No poem can relieve the ache of collapsing, even at it's purest

Last time I dared falling into the mirror I met my father

Sometimes, life seems like the repetition of a vinyl record scratched on track-A

In moments of clarity, I see that demons are the manifestation of my fears metamorphosing into reality

If only those who bear the question of nature versus nurture understood

Nowadays, I realize not every answer is what the heart needs

Perhaps I'm wrong about resenting the role of degenerate society has reasonably bestowed me

My mind believes scars are the tattoos of personal mistakes naturally enlightening wisdom
