walk away

what if I were to walk away
packed my stuff and just walked away
would anyone care that I am gone
would anybody say that I am wrong?
maybe I would go to the ocean or some pretty wooden place
who would care enough to give chase?
no not one I would dare say
would follow me if I were to walk away
girl, freak, monster, demon all in one on the run
pain courses through her veins
no one can see her tears or hear about her hidden pains
she loves someone who is true
but she's afraid someday with her he will be through
though he promises forever and always
how can he promise something when anything can happen to anyone these days?
