Image for the poem She was my girl

She was my girl

She was my girl, she is my world
She’s the one that makes my life worth living
She was my girl, she is my world
The only one that will never let me give in
I took her heart and ripped it out
But I never meant to hurt her with my actions
She’s all I want, she’s all I need
But I got caught up with the wrong distractions
She’s everything to me, I wish that she could see
How much of my life she really does complete me
I dream of her each night, how I wish to hold her tight
Id sell my soul for one more chance to put things right
She was my wife, she still my life
What a fool I’ve been to let her slip away
I’m so afraid of this mess I’ve made
But I have to try to repair all this damage
She has my heart she’s had it from the start
She’s always treat it with love, tenderness and affection
Until a time the fault is mine
That it broke into a million different pieces
She’s everything to me, I wish that she could see
How much of my life she really does complete me
I dream of her each night, how I wish to hold her tight
Id sell my soul for one more chance to put things right
She was my girl, she is my world
She’s the one that makes my life worth living
She was my girl, she 's still my world
She’s still the only one who can complete me
So I write this thing to help the bittersweetness sting
To help stop these tears from running down my face
The only thing that can begin
To piece together my heart for one last time
I need my girl to be my world
And let me love her with all I have to give
