Why the fuck did we let her interfere

Cos we lived in her house, didn’t make me her slave
if I would have known in advance, I would have rather lived in a cave
I enjoyed my life, my family and my job
then she got you on side and I did what you both wanted (what a knob)

it didn’t take much to turn everything on its head
but I kept on doing what you both said
I knew the judgements were wrong, but was pointless to say
you would have never seen a single thing my way

“its her house” its her house” that’s all you would say
4am taking her to the airport and an exam that same day
is there any wonder I failed, but to no one it didn’t matter
I cant believe how stupid I was, as mad as a hatter

we were treat like slaves, that was the start of the end
sometimes I think what she did was full of intent
when she spoke to me she never looked into my eyes
im not that stupid in fact I think im pretty wise

I was never good enough for you and when I took you away
I remember the look she gave me at the train station that day
it didn’t take her long to get you back up the road
and I was just a tag along until she could get me out in the cold
well she won in the end but it doesn’t stop me from reminiscing
how happy we were when the third one in our relationship was missing
the smile you then had, I never saw it again
cos in the end all she gave us was pain
