Vines
It irks her
when she sees the ignorance that blooms around her
like May flowers after April showers
she’s stuck in a forever growing field
with no sickle in hand
or away to get out of the tangle.
Not even the vexed air that she radiates
can kill off the tangled mass
of ignorant vines
surrounding her, isolating her.
A challenge arises
to fight the world
on her own
without anyone
to watch her back.
And from an aerial view
the vines spell out,
“Welcome to life”
when she sees the ignorance that blooms around her
like May flowers after April showers
she’s stuck in a forever growing field
with no sickle in hand
or away to get out of the tangle.
Not even the vexed air that she radiates
can kill off the tangled mass
of ignorant vines
surrounding her, isolating her.
A challenge arises
to fight the world
on her own
without anyone
to watch her back.
And from an aerial view
the vines spell out,
“Welcome to life”
