Yes dear Keith, many people travel the road of life with a heavy backpack filled with worries, regrets and other useless clutter. When you want to experience and learn new things, you have to get rid of these burdens first. It's not needed to understand everything. What is meant for you, will come to you with ease, and as a side effect you will live happy and free.
This is a great philosophical poem, well written in a few words only.
