Metamorph

In an ocean stretched across time
The mouth of the void stirs, hungers
I will not waver, fail the climb
I walk the path where strength lingers

Misfortune attacks my steel breast
I ache for the sting of sorrow
Yet I go on in this soul-theft
Reach for rule beyond tomorrow

Terror is a shroud worn out, tired
I yearn for illustrious touch
The kiss of knowledge warm, sired
Waves to aid me along this crutch

This oath bites, burns and leaves it's mark
Leaving me bare, wanting for life as such.
