Saved from Being Sordid

A white picket fence
White dress
Pureness

Not in this lifetime

More like….

Seedy motel
Thigh high leather boots and corset
Lasciviousness

Then along came you
With your wisdom
Temperance, patience, care
You brush the hair from my face and hold me
Chuckle lowly at my antics
Soothe my attempts to seduce you as you tuck me under your wing
My armor falls to the floor
My sword begins to rust
My rebellion turning to dust
As the whisper of your acceptance calms my soul

Thank you for saving be from being sordid
And cradling my caged heart
It’s been a long time since she’s been set free
