Sounds delicious and I'm getting hungry!
I love Basmati rice! And periodically I'll purchase Jasmine too when I feel special. India is one of my favorite places. I can smell the spice when stepping off the plane. I love the markets and food there! The clothes and culture. One of my favorite books is 'The Hidden Glory of India' by Steven J Rosen. BEAUTIFUL book and illustrations!
I am sure I will come up with more entries as I am a FOODIE! But this time I'll remember to edit my place holder!

Are these Sweet and sour carrots? Even if not, they give the idea for such a dish. The poem presents the carrot as versatile, and supremely tasty.

As Prot said about traveling to Earth in the movie K-PAX, "Your produce alone has been worth the trip."

"Ummmmm, Carrots" did it for me. Love the playfulness of this piece.
...the "leftover from a form life" is simply epic. It's a winner to me :-)

Mmmm, that looks so good and I’m so hungry! I’m vegan now, not vegetarian (look at me knowing the difference, lol).
Your words are delish as well, Ahavati.
“Left over from a former life” was a winner for me.
Bringing the best parts forward, yes!
And orange is one of my favorite colors to decorate with, so positive. A must have in my world (my living room curtains are white with huge orange poppies).

lolol @ you knowing the difference! I noticed a HUGE difference in inflammation issues when I left dairy behind. The "leftover" was a bit of a pun on leftovers!
My main color scheme is shades of orange offset by teal and yellow. Happy colors! I bet your curtains are lovely!
Thanks for such kind words! I truly appreciate them! xo

I looked at this for ages thinking it was
rabbit meat and thinking this is sweet &
sour rabbit on rice. I even figured out how
it had got chopped so small and recalled
that my mother wouldn't trouble herself
cooking rabbit because of all the bones.
But on reading it proper was flabbergasted
to find just 🥕 on rice. amazing and clever.

Cute and whimsical write.
