I Smiled Again (When I Thought Of You)
I look in on you often
tantalized by the thrill of your dialect
a language drenched in pleasure
smearing yourself
on the rigid parts of my attention
longing to be taken
into the abyss of your core
I misunderstood the generosity of your thrill
making us hunger
and constantly wonder
how it would feel
to be deeply embedded in you
oh mercy...I rise
to every description
disguised as confession
transformed to obsession
compelled to knee
to offer my mouth
should you deem yourself
aching and open
for my tongue
to touch
and to bathe
in the riches
of that intoxicating collision
of fragrance and flavor
Could I persuade you
to forgive my unwarranted conclusions,
to recognize the good in me,
not the weakness and insecurities
that have plagued me in this life?
You came for me
in a dream the other night
and the gratitude was infectious
and I smiled again
in full delight
And that was you,
the wise mistress of mercy
beyond time, beyond space
You took me deep in your body
and placed those hands on my face
I remembered every jolt of feeling
and every nerve consumed
by that woman in the window
silhouetted by the moon
But I will never press the issue
at a distance, I can keep
Unless I see an indication
that upon your wall
my thoughts can speak
It must be clear this body misses you,
that delicious mind of yours, even more
so I privately hold most sacred
those precious moments
once explored
tantalized by the thrill of your dialect
a language drenched in pleasure
smearing yourself
on the rigid parts of my attention
longing to be taken
into the abyss of your core
I misunderstood the generosity of your thrill
making us hunger
and constantly wonder
how it would feel
to be deeply embedded in you
oh mercy...I rise
