Continue to show your work. I wish I had that patience to wait to release a piece. Sadly, I don't. Love your work Duende xoxo

Damn I so relate to this, Duende.
Almost like split personalities....where my creative is the sadist
and my control freak is the masochist...luvin the pain of
organizing a messy mind.

Exactly that, Naajir, couldn't have said it any better. Somehow it's a relief I'm not the only one who edits endlessly. However with your brilliant & creative writing skills I could have known.
Thanks heaps for your comment, the relief & the reading list, it truly is an honor 🙏🏻

That's an interesting view and probably a better one than mine. I usually take a day, maybe a couple before I post. I find myself revising days, weeks, or even years later. Like a professor of mine once said, writing is never finished, it's abandoned.

First off: I don't think one view is better than the other & I see some similarities. You wait too. Thanks heaps for your visit and comment and for leaving your thoughts, I appreciate it :-)

It takes me weeks to write a batch and then something what started out in a weeks time it's nearly different from my original draft lol... also I can never do prompts, respect to poets who can, I can never do a poem on the spot, anyways happy writing Duende 🙃❤️

Enjoyed how your put words together to form the embryo that later will breathe with life.

"Exquisite tales of a poetess" > speechless. The process is indeed everything, torture as it may be at times. Thanks heaps for your poetic comment & the BIG LIKE. I appreciate it.

That editing, overthinking, struggle with control makes it so hard. You never release less than stellar pieces, so it pays off. I wish sometimes I leaned more in that direction myself, sis 💖

One of the main reasons that we're here is the many systems, the personality systems, nationality systems, religious systems, etc. The list of systems continue as does the creative processes, our friend Bender once told us he never wrote anything down before hand. He simply wrote and submitted is great pieces, which doesn't work for I_IS_ME. Another great write lady on your system, tight

Brilliantly written, Duende. Into the list it belongs. That's a pretty cool process. Listening to music definitely affects my approach. Appreciate you.

Hoi hoi
Hope you’ll have a marvellous weekend.
As for yet another lovely poem:
I am with her. Hearts and all.
Yes, honestly.
Look at how your writes with so many people.
That’s why I use the word honesty.
Kind regards, Gus

Dear D,
I enjoyed reading your process. Everyone’s approach is so unique. It’s always like a random choreographed dance. The steps we take in writing to the finished product. A little blood, a little sweat and for me mostly a lot of tears. Lovely write. H🌷

Dear H,
It's indeed amazing how different and unique our writing processes are. And that is what makes this place so valuable. Trust me, it's blood, sweat and tears here too. Tears with the most vulnerable pieces. Thanks heaps for your comment & reading list, I appreciate it 💕

Poetry is one of the few creative activities where 'Perfectionism' ... errr ... well ... perfectly fits. With other activities it leads to verschlimmbessern.

Verschlimmbessern, what an amazing word is that. Poetry asks for perfectionism for sure. Thanks heaps for your comment and the smiles you brought, Josh, I appreciate you :-)

We've had a lot of visitors from Germany in the last couple of months, to enjoy the late Summer in Portugal - so I've been speaking German a lot and somehow this new word entered my vocabulary. I think I have a latent fear of "making things worse by trying to make them better" and hence am something of a procrastinator.
Anyway, last week we sold 'the farm' after 16 years caring for it, and I'm in a wilderness phase adjusting to the new reality - just a house and garden to look after. I hope to get serious re-learning the piano, I have a series of garden sculptures planned, have a couple of weaving projects in mind too, and I go for long walks - so business as usual being busy I guess :)

There's something magical about learning new words :-) Selling the farm after 16 years must be a huge step an certainly an adjustment. Your plans sound amazing and I'm sure there's nothing to verschlimmbessern about. I wish you all the best at your new place & garden 🙏🏻
