Eyeballs

Those peepers,
I could feel them ogling,
Surreptitious stares made me
Tremble under my shell.

My skin knew those eyeballs
Could do more than just watch,
And I couldn’t ignore the discomfort
Creeping through my bones.

I became paranoid.
